For the running game to regress the way that is has is inexcusable. Eason is a gunslinger and a freshman but he really needs coaching on his decision making. I realize today he was running for his life a lot today but the slides and several of his throws were ill-advised.

Defense is better but no where near what I expected out of a KS/MT defense. It is obvious Saban is the mastermind behind Bama's defense. Still poor tackling technique allowing opposing running backs/receivers too many yards after contact. You have got to wrap up the legs . Watch how Chubb and Michel are getting brought down for no gain and the loss of yards. The are getting their feet/legs taken out from under them. No one can run the football without their legs.

I understand running the same play over and over until they stop it but Chaney seems intent on running the same play until it works. When the defense is suffocating the offense from sideline to sideline calling plays that develop east/west are not going to work. Where are some quick dives to the fullback, or where was the fullback in the passing game. Why not Chubb and Michel in the same backfield?. Where is Brandon Douglas? He is the best blocker of the bunch. Don't have all the answers but I do know what Chaney is trying isn't working, and he apparently isn't going to try anything new.

I am still a Dawg and always will be but folks go ahead and schedule your holidays because this team isn't going to a bowl game unless Chaney is gone or KS lights a fire under his butt.

I don't need anyone's approval to know it.

I get the issues with the line... and the receivers.. and the kickers... and the <insert whatever>, but those issues don't give that guy a free pass. I get this wasn't our year... and let me tell you these issues can't get fixed in one year so next year ain't looking so hot either, but that doesn't mean you can't add a bad OC to the list.

We've talked about our offense of problems and we talked about people not buying into the "process", but to me it doesn't sound like much of a stretch that what some people haven't bought into it running play action when you can't run.

Just watched the game again, yea I glutton for punishment. My opinion and conclusion is this. Our problem is way bigger and deeper than our o line. We've had crappy o lines for years and have never looked so bad and out of sync. Blaming the o line is coach talk for I don't know any other way to coach. It's all about adjusting and scheming and some of this staff can't do that. We have been out coached all season. Does Vandy have more talent that us? Does Nichols? They were 3 points away from beating us!

My point is that at this point in the season we should be seeing some improvements and thus far from where I sit we have regressed back to the 90's. Yeap Richt left the cupboards somewhat empty in areas but there's enough talent on the field to be progressing at this point and we are NOT! We have some coaching issues! I'm not ready to throw in the towel on Smart just yet but I firmly believe he is in way over his head in every aspect of being a HC. I hope and pray he is learning from his mistakes and will correct them.

I've made it very obvious about my feelings for Chaney. I didn't like the hire from the get go but I went with it because the word was it sealed the deal with Pittman. A lot of HS coaches a lot smarter than me said that the Chaney hire was Smarts first mistake and now I see what they were saying.

As far as Chaney goes, I call plays for a living. Nope I'm NOT on Chaney's level nor do I claim to be. And it's easy for me to sit here on my couch and criticize and critique him. Sometimes I see good things from him but most of the time I can pause the game look at our set up and call the play and at least 90% of the time I'm right so what's that say about the DC on the other sideline that's getting paid hundreds of thousands! That says he knows exactly what play is going to be ran most of the time. It's pretty damn easy to defend UGA. Stack the box, put pressure on Eason and make Eason beat ya. What OC in his right mind would put that kind of pressure on a freshman QB that played his HS ball in the state of Washington against kids that are slow and undersized???

Scheme and play to your strengths not your weaknesses! Chaney and Smart knew back in Jan what they had but they still scheme like they have AM at the helm with a Bama o line. People can say we don't have the talent all they want but I don't buy it for a second. We have more talent on the sideline than Vandy had starting so it's NOT a talent issue. Just leaves one more issue, coaching...

I'll leave this here, hire Hines Ward for anything he wants...
