ogre,

I don't know brother, at this point, what are the other options? It's obvious that our run game is done this season. This o-line is unsalvageable. It's not even mediocre. This is the worst o-line I've ever seen fielded. Chubb might as well pack it in and save his body for the draft. Chaney's play calling has been horrible - horrible. Lackluster, flat, unimaginative and predictable. And yeah, I get that there's no o-line, but o-line aside, the play calling has just baffled me. There's clearly no magic trick up his sleeve to somehow miraculously get this run game cranking in any form. We have effectively become a one-dimensional offense, and a piss poor one at that. I get the fact Eason is a freshman. I called for him to start and take his lumps and I stand by that desire. If we're going to take our lumps, let's take them this season and get it out of the way. Nothing is working on offense right now. Nothing.

Reservoir Dawg,

Trust me - I understand. I understand wanting to win. I too am tired of the "wait til next year" talk, but in this case, it's not being used as an excuse. Some coaches may have to go after this season. Some may leave voluntarily. Who knows. But the "wait til' next year" is used as an excuse when you have 15 years of "wait til next year" with ample talent to make one of those years our year. Not with a first year coach who barely got to do any recruiting, who identified these big ass problems before the season even started, and who is amassing a stellar recruiting class of players for his system. If we're the same team in another two seasons, I say it's time to clean house once again. Pack em' up and ship em' out.

I'm tired of losing. Sick and tired of it. But this was never going to be our season.

Wart & ogre,

I am completely willing to admit that I might be wrong. I appreciate your perspectives.

I knew it wasn't and I am fine with this not being our year, but there is "not being our year" and then there is "totally inexcusable complete ineptitude" on one side of the ball.

The worst Georgia team since my birth in 1963 and 2015 would have whipped the tar out of Nichols.

I'm actually okay with wait till next year when I see some promise for that next year, but I see one side of the ball that looks like its a 2 years from now project at best... and thats only if they replace Chaney after this season is mercifully over.

I know bad coaching when I see it.

God Bless and Go Dawgs

Lot of telling decisions to be made; some immediately and some at end of season. Immediately, do we start playing more "project" players to get them PT on field. Later, do we filter problems out of staff.

Trajectory of team beginning to remind me of Ray Goff years.

We were all looking at the steep learning curve for Eason. Turns out there was a steeper one for CKS. I'm not ready to run him off, but If he can't get this turned around fast, I am ready to let him know it's not a lifetime appointment.

Can we get Aaron Murray back as the OC?

More wisdom from Kirby

“In the SEC, it’s like this every week,” Smart said. “Our kids were geeked up today and wanted to play well because they had worked really hard. This is not going to be about Kentucky. It’s going to be about us and making sure we’ve got the right shoulder pads and shoes strapped up and ready to go.”

Now it is about the shoulder pads and shoes. Forget he has no O line and no special teams. Forget about field position and how we can move the ball, forget about Kentucky it is all about what we wear.

Just WOW.

I do not want to hear this crap. I want to hear how he is going to fix the problems and beat Kentucky.

You guys have the details down. Hard to argue with any of it.

Just a couple of things from inside the stadium.

Gators section was louder from the get go. Kind of distressing. Even when it was 10-7 'dawgs. Really dead crowd. At least in our sections, especially on Gators 3rd downs.

The O-line looks even worse in person at full speed if that's even possible.

Could have still been a close game without the three drops and the illegal procedure on the 2, but, well, ifs and buts and all that.

Special teams were at least not as big a negative as usual. No big plays, but no disasters except for the 26(?) yard punt.

One thing I said before the game was that, although Eason is not a running quarterback, they could at least move the pocket, which they actually tried. He was running for his life almost immediately after each snap. He shows me something every week. Tough kid.

Don't want to be Pollyanna, but I think the jury is still out on CKS.

2-2 at the WLOCP now. Time to end the streak next year.
