GAME DAY: UGA vs FLORIDA (WLOCP)

Agree sflanigan... its about progression.

Yeah... I know the cupboard is somewhat bare and all that, but what I wanted to see was what we have get better as the season went along.

... buy it seems we've just gotten worse. I want to hear the explanation about how the bad offensive line causes us to play action pass when there's not even a hint of a running threat and the PA is totally ignored. All that does is give Eason less time to look over the field. I want to hear the explanation as to why a bad offensive line causes us to run the smallest guy on the team on a 4th and 1. I want to hear how a bad offensive line causes you to show a look and tip your hand on a penalty.... and then you immediately come back and show the exact same look and run the exact same play. I want to hear the explanation for how this lack of talent causes you to time and time again run on 1st for nothing, run on 2nd for nothing, and then throw on 3rd and long when the defense has their ears pinned back with slow developing patterns.

This guy makes me miss Brian Schottenhiemer.

All we will hear is we got Kentucky coming up and we got to line up and play. If you are waiting for an explanation you will be waiting a long time.

Kirby is in charge not Chaney, Kirby plays smash mouth football with a finesse team. Too stubborn to play Hardman, Cleveland because they are freshman. 8 games in and 2-4 in the SEC 4-4 overall. Pitiful but yeah all Chaney's fault is just laughable. I saw Kirby on the sidelines in Oxford HE runs this team not any of the assistants. Blame who you want but it starts at the top.

Kirby hired Chaney and he is in charge, so yes its up to him to make whatever changes necesaary to fix this mess.

I'm just not ready to fire the entire staff and start over after 8 games when we knew we had some big issues going in to the season.

Well, I went and sat through this game. When it rains it pours. Not only did I have to suffer through that pitiful excuse of an offense, but I had the luxury of having some obnoxious, piece of #$#@ Gaterd woman sitting right behind me. Can't ever figure out why you would want to sit in the middle of the other team's fans. I guess the price of tickets on our side was way cheaper than their side. Rightly so. The only bright spot from the stands was the defense. I thought they played hard and gave us chance to be in it all the way down to the wire. Again, I was in the stands so I didn't really get to critique like I would if I watched from home. Had taped it, but I deleted it as soon as I walked in the door last night. On the other hand, and from posts I've read, the offense is worse than pitiful. How can you call such a bad game? How can you not recognize that your offensive line cannot hold blocks or open holes. We had what looked like from the stands a glimmer of what we should be doing and then we dropped a one on one sideline throw because Eason under threw the ball and our guy twisted his ankle trying to stop and catch it. Then we dropped one right over the middle. Both guys were wide open and because they dropped it we never went back to that game plan. That was the only thing that really seemed to work from my standpoint. Seemed that if we would have stuck with that we could've loosened up the box, made them drop a couple more into coverage and then maybe run the ball some. Also, no I.M., no screens to stop the mad dash at the QB, nothing really to the tight ends, and absolutely nothing to the FB. All plays that seemed to have been working in all the games we played previously. Perhaps that is why we didn't run them. Why consider doing anything that appeared to have a chance at all. I hate Florida. If I didn't say that clear enough I HATE FLORIDA. They are now on another streak of beating us. Seems like they can beat us when they are supposed to and even when they aren't. I am not a brain surgeon, but I am sick of this. Have been for years now. My hopes have been dashed again. They have been crushed so many times I don't know how I even have any left. But I do. I guess that is the definition of Fan. I am all in, but I sure wish someone with the power to do something would. I have not lost faith in KS, but I never had any in Cheney and that has been proven. Definitively. No doubt about it. He needs to go. Go now. Don't pass GO. Don't collect $850,000. I wish the higher ups understood some of us fans and made their decisions with that passion in mind. I live and breathe Georgia. I could care less about the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, any of it. I watch it sometimes to fill in the blanks, but I love, love, love the DAWGS. They are slowly killing me.
