I'm ready to start on a new week and for me that means getting over a game and thinking about the next one.

DAWGS got real lucky last Saturday against Mizzou but also made several great plays
1. Quincy Mauger, not one but two interceptions, one of which saved the game
in my opinion( its only an opinion).
2. Isaiah Mckenzie, is beginning to be the player that several folks here have
been telling us he would be, what a clutch play that was to tie the game.
3. Jacob Eason, still has a lot to learn, but man what a great job of hanging in
there and putting the ball in that tight spot.
4. Christian Payne, its just great to have a fullback in the game who is making
difference in the outcome of the game and now is a huge asset to be
utilized.

Now for a place kicker!

GO DAWGS!!!!!GATA

Don't wanna be a Debbie downer, but unless our special teams and offensive line improve dramatically this week, I think this will be the first loss of the season.

will be an interesting game. Ole miss's weakness on defense is in their secondary. If the protection holds up, Eason could be in for a very good game.

This is another team that has a pretty good defensive line though.

I cant recall when I have seen a College team put kickers on the field that are as weak as these two have been this season, I know there probably have been ,but I dont recall them, especially at UGA. They must really have a bad case of butterflies!

Suggestion was made in another thread on Dawgs.com about the possibility of Wynn having experience at left tackle maybe having another look, and Catalina playing guard. Based on "speed/foot work" more than size. Our question was asked before the article below in the AJC appeared.

Personally, do not feel that Kirby was being "testy", another of those "click" words. Went into detail I thought. Anything to cause some controversy. Say again, sure miss Outlar and Bisher.

Quarterback question off of the table, beat writers have to find something else . . . . Question about the offensive line was fine I thought, again, the response from Coach Smart was to the point. Seems many in the press are still pp'd about the 12/15 minutes they are allowed to watch. Crawls up their backside.

I asked the question in another thread, am more than satisfied with the answer Kirby gives in the article below. Thin skin does not pay off in the long run in the media business . . . . bet that.

EDIT:

Posted in the Game Day Thread by growl. Post #74733.

Not for me to tell or suggest this but . . . .

Believe we are a better offensive line with #77 Isaiah Wynn playing left tackle. Not as big as some want, but his footwork and speed are much better than #72 Tyler Catalina's. Tyler has the size to play guard and the strength. Tyler would not stand a chance to be drafted by the NFL as a left tackle. JMHO. Not making out the lineup, just watching what is happening on the left side. Would not be surprised to see that change.

Ole Miss comes "fast" off of the edge.

In the article below, Ole Miss expresses their thoughts on the upcoming game. They believe that getting to Jacob Eason might be easier than chasing a mobile quarterback.

Pulled from the article below . . . .

Georgia quarterback Jacob Eason, another freshman, won’t be a threat with his legs in the manner of Jalen Hurts and Deondre Francois. He’ll stay in the pocket more and will therefore open himself up to more big hits.

Appears Ole Miss has watched some of our offensive line play. Seem confident.

Well, you know what they say... You need to be able to kick field goals.

The rest seems to be coming together.

Go Dawgs!

For winning the Natty give every Dawg a bone AND prime rib steak.
