My daughter is only 10 but her soccer club is already keeping her updated on what type school she should realistically consider based on her current progression. (Think football is bad? They start even earlier in soccer). And believe me, her club TELLS MY DAUGHTER, MYSELF, AND MY WIFE we had better pick the school for our daughter based on academics and comfortability because the coach may not always be there.
I can assure you AJ knew going in that CMR was not guaranteed to always be there. Someone in his high school at some point told him about life outside of football.
