I just want to know where this outrage was when other coaches at other schools have done the same thing.

All of a sudden Kirby Smart reverses the position of Mark Richt and finally UGA does something othet schools have done a multitude of times (and for good reason), and it's the most aggregious foul in the history of sport.

Please..:. Golic hates the SEC in general because his boy and the rest of the slow-footed golden domers got their arse handed to them in the 2013 NC game. ESPN in general hates the SEC because they're not headquartered in Bristol and completely dependent on Disney for broadcast rights.

If anyone wants to rant against this, they need to rant about the lack of a uniform rule regarding transfers that would cover the issue.

Meanwhile.... they need to get over the fact that their willing puppet isn't in Athens any longer, and then get over themselves.

If another network had attacked Urban Meyer for doing the same thing, they would have run a 30 on 30 program about why limiting transfer options was in the best interest of fair and uncorrupted competition.

God Bless and Go Dawgs

Tuned in on Greeny this morning. Knew at some point the agitator would sit back and listen to others. Stirred the pot, got Golic mimicking what anyone said that made any sense. Notre Dame gave Golic an attempt at an education. Turned out he was a "football player" first. Education speaks for itself.

Greeny made one remark that I am in total agreement with . . . . get rid of Mark Emmert. Emmert has a history of moving around just before the "spit" starts. Yes, I have factual stuff.

Same could be said for Greeny. Bet this . . . . Greeny might point his finger at the TV camera . . . . wonder if he would do that in Smart's face?

My life in the South, you put your finger in someone's face, same as spitting . . . . fight is on.

Wartdawg, has been said recently on this board . . . . Changes were going to be made in Athens, will also bet this . . . . there will be more and those of us that are "into change" will be happy campers.

Disney quite frankly has become a "dumping ground", as evidenced many times by those of us that are close enough to see the "warts on M&M". Greeny's warts just multiplied. POS.

Looking good Kirby . . . . :)

The more Michelle and Mike badmouth Smart, the more it helps UGA. Bring it on. Buc, you are so right----point in my face, game on. Denigrate my wife or daughter, game on. Life in the south is real America.

KS will change UGA to a prominent national power. Do I fear Harbaugh? NO!. He is doing for his program what KS is doing for ours. Will harbaugh ever win a majority of battles over KS for Ga players? NO!!!

KS is a man. CMR was a pacifier.

Notice what KS is doing that CMR did not do? explaining to walk ons why using HOPE at UGA is better than a partial scholarship to smaller schools out of state. That means the "practice player" we will go against will eventually be a higher caliber player than CMR had.

We WILL be the team in the East to rule the next 10 years. NC's are hard to predict, luck involved. But we WILL rule east. The days of UT and AU getting 3-4 4/5 stars out of Ga are over. They may get 1-2. but will never get anyone that KS really wants.

Bulldog Shannon,

You're on fire brother.

I said almost verbatim to a colleague today what you wrote. I told him that give it one to two seasons max and that big G will sell itself as much as the big A will to recruits looking to take their game to an SEC school - but you can guarantee that Georgia is his pond. If you look at the very first slogan of the CKS era, it was "home grown." The day he hit the recruiting trail during the live period, that came out. That says a tremendous amount about what's on his mind. Much like his first public comments about what he perceived as deficiencies in our program and we got the "Georgia doesn't have enough depth to play in the SEC" and "we gotta build from the lines." Those were the most pressing things on his mind. Kirby has sent the message that he will be the man in Georgia and that these other schools better think twice before poaching in the state until he has picked and chosen who he wants to wear the red and black.

Objectively speaking, I will be interested to see how Kirby does recruiting in Florida. There is so much talent in that state that it will interesting to see how the talent shakes out amongst the schools. Coach Mac is going to put a big hurtin' on the "U"and their ambitions, but CMR will still recruit hard and pull down some talent. There's three very good recruiters in that state in Richt, Fisher and McElwain.

And this . . . .

Lifted from the article below . . . .

Just because another industry enforces a bad policy doesn’t make it OK for college sports to do the same, but I don’t find a limited restriction on player transfers to be a human-rights abuse, as Amaechi, Greenberg and Scarbinsky would have you believe. Their collective outrage smacks more of a need to fill a 24-hour news cycle with “hot takes” than it does genuine concern for student-athletes.
