Page 170 talks about transfer rules. I don't see anything about this transferring subject other than you have to sit out a year before playing, but im not a lawyer. Is there something schools put in their scholarship document that says we must approve which school you go to?
If someone like Derrick Henry decided he wanted to move over to Auburn, how could this be stopped? Looks like he could sit out a year and be eligible for play after this. I thought I read they could transfer anywhere, just couldn't be on athletic scholarship for the first year. I bet schools could find an academic scholarship for the "right" guy who wanted to transfer in.
Im kind of back and forth on this issue. Could see it getting abused with recruiting continuing through 4 years. It would be okay with me to give guys the option to transfer where ever they want if the coach leaves. Still not sure about if they should have the option if an assistant leaves.
