Like most of the members on Dawgs.com, I have spent numerous hours reading and watching, opening our billfolds/wallets/purses when it came to UGA Football.
There was a reason for the above. Always looking for something to change, change the way we always seemed to falter. Believing, to a point.
Ten wins are “nice”. If you are going to accept “nice”, you and I are not on the same page. Tried that for many years, did not work for me.
Not going to win the National Championship every year. Not going to win the SEC East every year. Not going to win the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta every year. Would like to think that the Red and Black had a chance to do the above.
Why should myself and others continue to buy into a head coach that opens every year saying that we (UGA) have our goals set . . . . winning the SEC East?
I have an answer for the above . . . .
When life is good, it becomes a common error for a particular type of person to “settle in”. In the business world, it is often referred to as “blind spots”, or not equipped to handle the position.
This old goat did not see the firing/releasing of the head coach in 2015 as a possibility, surprised me. Often said by myself and others that we hoped at the end of the extension of MR's contract, somewhere around 2017, he would hang it up.
Takes me to this . . . . again.
Just how many folks do you know that will give up four (4) million dollars a year? Would you?
For the “bleeding hearts”, not sure how long it will take for the “U” to figure out that they have made “another mistake”, but it will happen.
Take this anyway you wish . . . . Hard to make four (4) million dollars a year when you are a good man, supposedly coaching college football. Have to have some “Carney Blood” to satisfy the “bleeding hearts”. Pied Piper effect.
Question for the members on Dawgs.com . . . .
Want Mark Richt back?
Prefer to go along with Kirby Smart, having never been a “head coach”?
Have said many times on this board that I read everything I can get my eyeballs to focus on. The “Bleeding Hearts” seem to be dwindling, are “they” being influenced by the “media” . . . . Just asking.
