Moving along.
Can only speak for myself. Did not get "totally" wrapped up in the Eason at quarterback chatter for this reason . . . . Did not have a grip on what might happen with Jacob Eason.
Another good move by Smart. Wasted no time (which he has little of) having conversation with the Eason Family. The entire family, not Jacob Eason alone.
Kirby Smart "knows" that you have to have a quarterback that is very good if you want your team to get past the "East Side of the SEC". Sorry, had to say that. Maybe not "sorry". Time for change presented itself and our head coach waster very little of his "time". Do what is necessary and Kirby Smart did just that.
So, what is next? I firmly believe the offensive coaches can and will be able to do a lot, knowing that Jacob Eason is in the house. What offensive coach would not like to build around Eason, Chubb, Michel, Crowder and others?
Comes now to "DEPTH" on the offensive line. Not a doubt in my mind that those now wearing "our colors" . . . . coaching the Red and Black have to have smiles on their faces . . . . of course not showing the players their satisfaction. Players pick up on that quickly, you guys played and understand.
Talent on both sides of the ball . . . . again. This time, different direction by different minds.
We are strong again at the tight end position. I know for a fact that our missing link has been along the offensive front. How long will that take to make us complete . . . . do not know, but I do know that we need more than Ben Cleveland. That is not a shot fired in Ben Cleveland's direction for whatever. I want to see players like Price and others "wanting" to play for the State University".
This old goat knows that Kirby Smart and "his group of "hired coaches" will not sleep on the defensive side. I like the resumes of the offensive coaches.
There is a reason that Tennessee released/fired their defensive coordinator. Head coach there understands that Georgia's "strength" improved with the dismissal of Richt and the hiring of Kirby Smart and those that are on board with a coach that "has never been a head coach". Love typing that . . . .
