Good Morning All,

Maybe I have my days straighten out…..

Winter has returned to Athens…… not cool….cold

Week was quite except for hiring of assistant coaches. HC continues to put his plan into place.

We now have a DC…. Another hire that “Fits”

Each hire was with a purpose to add strength and depth to the staff…

Lack of bloated egos is a welcome and important factor in getting a working and compatible staff.

A big welcome and are looking forward to see it all meld together….

I have a feeling there with our staff there will be much cross talk
Many eyes and minds working in the same direction for the objective….

Heads still want to talk about how we could have done better….

This is wearing itself out but will always loom in the background waiting for the opportunity to surface…along with the told you so crowd…

Yes our bowl game was less than stellar however, looking at all the noise that surrounded it..player…suspension….coaching changes and a host of other unsettling factors it was a good effort.

Yes we played our old offense with one huge exception…we called plays fearful of pic 6’s….hold on and let the defense win the game….yada yada…..

LC knocked the ball down as he should have…. CJP….is pleased…

Thanks to our players for all your efforts this season….

Time to thank our Bama gang for returning football to Athens… doing so… under duress….. your collective efforts were/are much appreciated..

Thank You…….good luck with your new challenges….

While not part of the Bama gang same to Bmac,TBrown and Coach Lilly…

Best of luck to the Tide and Coach Kirby….. bring the Crystal back to the SEC…… Roll Tide !!!

I will say it again…. It is going to be a very active time for our football program from now to the G- Game….

Think about the statement of support for our program by showing up

And attending the G-game….. we wanted change …. Step up if you can

Fun meter is pointing upward

Pause and give thanks

Have a great weekend and a safe week

As always…… “Go Dawgs”

Go Dawgs!

I've read a lot of copy about Mel Tucker in the past 24 hours. Personally, like the article that Kimberley Nash has put out for all to read. Lady Sportswriter is very good at getting down to what is real and otherwise.

Kirby Smart has brought in a list of coaches that have been around the game for a long time, and have also been successful at different places.

While Kirby Smart has brought some of his "friends" to Athens with him, he has also stepped out and hired some coaches that were not on the same field with him as coaches for many years. New head coach is all about now.

Offensive and defensive coaches alike are very secure in their way of coaching, and from all I can gather from our head coach, that is what he is looking for. Do not for a minute believe that Kirby Smart is looking for "yes" men. Kirby is all about the business of college football, college football that is a business and he is treating it that way in my opinion.

Wide variety of coaches experience and probably temperment in this group. Single thought from me is the coaches coming together as a unit (team). That falls solidly at the feet of Kirby Smart, and he is not ducking. Another lesson learned under the "Master".

Picked this up from Kimberley's article below . . . . Quote from Barry Alvarez.

“Saban told me he was the best recruiter he ever had,” Alvarez said of Tucker. “And one of the things Tressel told me is Ohio State would not want Mel Tucker recruiting for another Big Ten school.”

What really becomes obvious to me is the path that Kirby is taking. On this board for several years the word "DEPTH" has been used. Kirby Smart understands that and that is exactly how he will build the Red and Black in Athens.

When I look at the coaches on board and the history they bring to Georgia, going to be a group that knows how to recruit depth. Kirby Smart knows he has hired the right coaches to "Finish the Drill".

Long time in coming, but the time has come and damn right I am excited about the way Head Coach Kirby Smart is approaching SEC Football in Athens.

Another tid-bit.

James Coley is one great hire. Coley is a force in South Florida recruiting.

Another really good hire by Kirby Smart.

BMac now in South Carolina, we needed a presence in South Florida and Georgia got a very good one with the hiring of James Coley, who also has ties to Nick Saban. The "tree" is extensive.

If the coaching talent assembled by Kirby Smart comes together as a unit, and I have no doubts they will, Georgia Football is no longer a "Carney Show". No more "smoke and mirrors", that now belongs to the "U".

Yeah Buc, with the KS team going into place it is looking more and more like Looserville is over.

I'm trying to be realistic with expectations but the talent they are assembling doesn't make it easy. (meaning try not to get too excited)

I hope Vegas doesn't curse us with #1 expectations. Marketing, Vegas odds and whatever else doesn't matter.

We are talking about the University of Georgia Bulldogs. Let's just go play ball and let it be what it is. College football.
