I really don't want to harp on the lack of quality wins thing any longer, but it seems some of the
MR folk keep wanting to bring up "numbers".
You and I and many here on dawgs.com are capable of seeing past just some carnival inflated
numbers. As long as someone brings them up though, I'll be around to reply.
God Bless and Go Dawgs

I know I've said this before, but Several so so coaches have won the nc in the lower part of Florida. Upper part too. There are a lot of good players down there that would love to stay home and have maw maw and paw paw see them play.
Edit...I am not an expert on analyzing high school talent. I'll readily admit this. But, if Jacob Eason really is the first or second best qb coming into ncaa football, getting him is a big deal. He will win some games for yins.

Scooby,
I'm always up to be schooled on my Florida history that I must have missed growing up.
Please inform me who the several "so-so" coaches were that won NC's in the lower part of FL in the modern era of college football.
Did Charlie Partridge sneak one in on me that I missed?
Also, there are four coaches that have won NC's in the upper part of FL, two of whom are living college legends, one who certainly will be when he's finished with his run in Columbus, and the other who is well on his way. So who are these so-so coaches that won NC's in the upper part of my state that I'm not aware of?
Cheers.

Hey, I like this guy! I just believe he would be somewhere besides San Antonio (? Going on memory) if he was a great coach.

I'm no expert either Scoob.
I'll tell you this, you know what a bigger deal than getting Jacob Eason is? Having a coaching staff in place that will develop that young man, coach him up, and squeeze every ounce of talent he has out of him while he's at UGA.
No incoming freshman 5 star or 5000 star is guaranteed to pan out, but usually the target rating isn't often missed with QB's. This kid was lights out in his high school career. He has the "it" factor for a reason.
If he cruises into Athens, works with Chaney and Kirby closely, and doesn't skip a beat - he could be one of the most magical QB's we've ever seen at UGA. [Emphasis IF]
