Monday Thoughts - Kirby Smart's 2016 Schedule

The following paragraph means so much. Won't say too much about 80% as a coach or player, many here know.

Tight end Jeb Blazevich:

On Smart’s emphasis on margin of error:

"I think it’s a huge point. It’s true no matter what you do. There are very few people who go the extra mile, and go 110 percent. A lot of people only go 80 percent. Nobody can really notice the difference, but the difference is in the results. He is saying we need to bump it up a bit more, and that margin of error is very small and we need to get over that. I definitely agree and that’s what strength coaches always say, ‘Doing one extra rep is not going to get you stronger, but do that enough times and it’s the mental mindset, and that’s what makes you a better man.’”

There is some chatter about Lane Kiffin moving from Tuscaloosa to Athens.

When I read the article below, clears the assistants picture up even more for me.

Nick Saban and Lane Kiffin together trying to land the nation's top ranked quarterback.

Lane Kiffin is going to take the advice that Nick Saban gave Kirby Smart, hang tight, better things down the road. Yes, I believe what I just typed.

I believe that the mission will be accomplished.

Nick Saban is digging his heels in, not giving up anything to Kirby Smart or anyone else. That is why he is back in the Final Four for the second year.

Not like Kirby Smart is not aware of Saban/Kiffin trying to recruit the top quarterback in the nation.

Sorry if this has already been asked.

Has there been any news out there that Pruitt will be retained or not? Everything I have read pretty much says he will 100% without a doubt not be retained.

But nothing has been set in stone yet as far as I'm aware.

Just got done watching Kirbys press conference too, really liked how he said he plans to be involved in all areas of the team.

That was something that was majorly lacking in the previous regime.

Also really liked hearing the building depth part of the offensive and defensive lines. Another thing that wasn't viewed as a big deal under Richt.

I must say it feels really dang good too actually have a football coach that understands these concepts.

Really looking forward to kicking muschumps butt in 2016, made another backhanded comment towards UGA in his presser.

Can't believe people wanted this guy coming to UGA, has no loyalties to us, we should have none to him either.
