BulldogShannon, feels really good to get that "feeling" back.

Know that myself and many other board members had that "empty feeling" not that far back. Sad thing it was a feeling that just seemed to get worse and last longer.

Have meant to ask you about your daughter, believe you were heavily into soccer a while back, think I have that right.

EDIT: Feel there will be some questions about Kirby's assistant coaching selections from the press. Might be it will be a closed session as far as allowing the press to "open it up".

I believe an attitude change will be apparent immediately when the season starts and there will not be any defeatist comments made before we play our biggest games. There also wont be anymore pre-game antics that take place. For those who might not see it, I am referring directly to what happened this year before the Alabama game, both in the press room and on the field. I think those days are over.

I think this will be the biggest first season impact that CKS has. I can imagine day 1 of spring practices will be something similar to Full Metal Jacket's opening scene. I think CKS's job is going to be to take the players and detox them from their addiction to acceptable mediocrity and brainwash them completely into what he is going to demand from them. I think the goals will be clearly defined as winning championships and I expect to hear the word "championship" dropped at least once at the CKS presser in about 8 minutes.

No longer will we be hearing after a Bulldogs' loss, the first words out of our coach's mouth at the podium: "well you got to hand it to Vanderbilt, they played a really great game. Congratulations to their players and staff, what a good job they did today." And thank God for never having to hear that again.

When you have players talking about how it's just another game and if you lose the season isn't over, BEFORE THE GAME STARTS... then a detox from that attitude
is certainly in order.

God Bless and Go Dawgs

Watching Smart's press conference, I saw a humble guy who's entire life has been defined by intelligence and relentless effort.
Things are changing.
Thank God.
