Their defense is very very talented. And we all saw what happened when our running game gets shut down.

Honestly it pains me to say this, but I don't think we get a win in Jacksonville this year. I hope I'm wrong, I hate the gators more than any other football program in the country.

Same players as last year, but they are playing as good of football as anyone we've played this year.

It's a wonder what a simple coaching change can do.

Hell Donnan got fired for losses to Florida, auburn, and tech..... Just saying.

BullDawg2010, like you, the gators are at the top of my list as a team that I want to see us beat.

I do believe that we are faced with an unfair advantage and that in my opinion is leadlership. Not just Mark Richt, that has become evident. Anyone that understands the game understands that his leadership is not one that wraps its arms around all involved.

Same can be said for our McGarity. They have certain goals to meet, goals that those above them require them to meet.

I go back to McGarity coming on board, sticking his chest out and calling for Richt to sit with him and get the obstacles concerning winning football taken care of. What McGarity said was, anything that hinders you as the head coach, I will take care of them, you concentrate on winning football games. Good message. Winning football keeps money flowing into the vault. That is paramount.

What "I" have noticed is a downward turn since our AD came to Athens. We are not winning the games that McGarity knew had a huge effect on the program. Again this season we are in the same place we have been for too long, and I say that knowing that the talent level in Athens is at maybe an all time high. I look over the players still on campus, I scratch my head and say to myself, I did not see what I saw against Tennessee. I did, and I don't care how many times we have beaten Tennesse in the past, that game along with too many others have been poorly managed. From top to bottom.

Said many times on this board. I did not start the statement, but it goes like this . . . .

Players take on the personality of their Head Coach. I believe in a nutshell that describes what we see year after year.

Could say more, will stop this post with a statement I have made several times over a long period.

Mark Richt is coaching the same way Bobby Bowden did, from start to finish, with one difference . . . . Bobby Bowden was the head coach when Mark Richt was a part of the National Championship at FSU. Can't win the East side of the SEC, sure as heck not going to play in the Final Four. One more thing. If it was the Final Eight, we would not be there. If it was the Final Twenty, we would not be there. Coaching or player talent? I say lack of coaching. Coaching that starts at the top.

And this . . . .

Years past when it came time to play the game in JAX, this board would be lit up. Even when urban meyer was kicking our butts, folks were hoping for more and saying so.

I feel that our heart has been ripped out by some that really don't understand that "IN THE ARENA" is more than wearing the pads . . . . and those damn headphones that the head coach loves to play with, I have a suggestion where they would fit better.

EDIT: Left Dawgs.com after posting the above and came up with this. As expected, Bill King has returned to his old ways. Back on the "Coaching Support Bus".

You're right, Buc, this game, along with every other game we play, has just become kind of "ho-hum" for me. Nothing more than a chance to spoil the gators' season. Sad that that's what UGA football has been reduced to for me, but that's where the pathetic loser has taken the program.

The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!

Probably should not say this but will sadlerdawg . . . .

What does it say about our fan base? Really did not like reading what Bill King had to say this time around, reminded me of what I have seen too often out of those whose jobs depend largely on being a part of the "support system".

Mark Richt has not changed.

Brian Schottenheimer is as rumored prior to moving to Athens.

36869 made a good post. Miami job is open. Richt played (sat on the bench) there and lived in Boca Raton.

Problem with Richt to Miami, they are trying to change the past. Richt in Miami would not produce results.

Still believe the only way we beat UF is turnovers. Our OL hasn't proven anything to me.......they had better play "over their heads" Sat.

Though I don't believe they will face a defense as good as Bama's on Saturday, I do believe they will encounter more speed. Speed on the blitz and more speed in the secondary.

If Lambert is able to get passes off, he better be precise or the Gator DB's will make us pay.

Other than that... Go Dawgs !
