Welcome Class of 2015

Would mean a lot if we can hold on to Terry Godwin, know that Alabama and Auburn have recruited him hard. Alabama bothers me more than Auburn at this point. Just a guess but Slayton might have known something about Godwin's intentions, making his decision easier.

I've learned to view NSD, no different than I view each upcoming season. Excited at the possibilities, but grounded in the Richt reality.

UPDATE: BTW, I'm hearing that AllBarn preyed upon some "family" issues that young Slayton is dealing with....Sounds like the Bag Man made some offers that were too hard to turn down!

NC_Dawg picked the comment below from another site.

Not trying to kill the enthusiasm that I feel, just trying to keep all things UGA football in perspective.

Mark Richt's job is to win a championship in the sport of football at The University of Georgia, not mission work, mentoring, boys club, or anything else. There are MANY large Hartman Fund donors that are PISSED about his receiving nearly a million dollar raise for his ineptness. If he does not produce a championship in two years time, the Dawg Nation will be deeply divided just like in Ray Goff's last years. Sanford Stadium will be showing many empty seats, and donations WILL fall. You can count on it. What Mark Richt "wants" is not the issue here.

Oddly enough, it's taken twice as much time to SEE the reality...It's decision making like this that will forever keep us mired to the axles in mediocrity.....2 more years......!

Appears to me that Pruitt has had his elbows out. Really like the fact that we have someone in my opinion coaching in Athens that is not caught up in the "two year stuff". Might be Pruitt and some of his coaches will make some "decisions" in a couple of years that will be expected.

At this point it is hard for me to accept the Georgia high school players signing on elsewhere, players that have been needed, especially on the offensive side of the ball.

Pruitt has put a finger in the dike, here is hoping that Sales has the same temperament. Press is all over Schottenheimer, coming from the NFL, expected. Coaches like Sales and Friend come from little talked about areas and make the "changes needed" in Athens.

Nothing that Auburn does comes as a surprise. NC_Dawg, one thing has to be said . . . . You cannot coach football on the Plains if you are there for the same reasons that our head coach has often mentioned.

Like it or not, the current head coach at Auburn is on the same wave length that urban meyer is on . . . . just win at any "expense($$$)".
