Might be this link does not fit, but then again . . . . There has been a lot of chatter for some years about Georgia and its talent. I am one of those that has mentioned it maybe more than most here.
Trying to make a point. Many think that our head coach leaving would send us into a death spiral. That could happen, it does however pose this question . . . . if you think in that direction.
Is UGA the only D1 football team that would pay the supreme price for their head coach leaving? Everything would go to hell in a hand basket as some say. I do not buy into that, so much going on since the buyout of the SEC. Many young players are into wearing the SEC colors, regardless of the particular SEC university.
Looking at the site below, the figures are interesting. Florida is still in a "huge mess" and Auburn is trying to be real good, real fast. Both universities have had a "taste" of the good life, so from where I sit, they ain't messing around. Same can be said for Nebraska, something has to change, Ohio State is not waiting on anyone, and they have a "snake" that put Florida in the mess they are in at this point.
Here again is my problem with our head coach. Over and over I have posted as have others, coach'em up. Again, regardless of what happened between the Hedges against Tech, the players stumbled back into the game and had the outlook appearing secure.
What happened will be talked about for a long time, and there is good reason for that. It has also been said that this is not the first mistake made by Richt, and many go on to say it will not be the last, I am one of those.
These mistakes do not represent a head coach that has "everything needed mentally" to reach a certain goal. Have said before and this game against Tech proves it out, Richt is not a head coach that "understands" the game totally. When Richt left FSU, he was a offensive coordinator and quarterback coach.
Mark Richt's problems do not live and die with player personnel. I say this about the South Carolina, Florida and Georgia Tech games, the team was not "prepared" by their head coach. Anyone watch Nick Saban on the sideline against Auburn? I did, nuff said.

Edit: Joe "T" hanging up the cleats. Thanks many times over.
I hope that this happens . . . .
Sherman Armstrong the team's speed coach since March 2012, hired the same time as Thomas from Penn State. Crossed fingers that Sherman remains. He means a lot to our program, just don't hear "enough" about him. Players love this young coach. Has serious contacts in Central Florida.
FACT.
