ogredawg, that would suit me. The one factor that remains, keeping us from being a good overall football team in my opinion is recruiting for the offensive line.

Apparently Gaillard has UGA tats now, we know that an Alabama football player has Auburn tats. Some of these young players need to learn restraint.

Thanks for the insight Buc on Summers. AD5, I would rather get 3 great hires 1 week after signing day than to rush it just to have a position filled before NSD.

I heard one of the so called recruiting experts who has spoken to Carter and his parents (Radi Nabulsi) say this morning that carter will not care who the DL coach is-he will play for UGA based on the DC, the campus, and the teammates.

AD5, I wasn't aware of any new DL prospects other than Gaillard. Pruitt is working him hard from what I hear. Other than that, it is offense and DB's who we are still trying to sway. From what I hear, we will not lose 1 recruit because of Grantham.

I could be wrong. But I would rather lose 1 stud and get the next potential Saban, than to rush it and get a Willie Martinez/Kevin Ramsey type.

Make the right hire---not the quickest.

Its been said that they are waiting on FSU to name a DC.I think FSU will hire from outside but they are not in a hurry to do so because they know when they do some of the position coaches will join CP and they do not want to hurt thier recruiting. Hiring the right coaches is critical but wouldn't it be nice to have three more body's on the recruiting trail.

DAWGtm, there are definitely things going on. Think I read somewhere that the staff would be together by the end of the week. Both AD5 and Shannon make good points.

If Moms and family mean a lot to these young players, and they do, would be hard pressed to believe that Lorenzo Carter would move outide the . . . . . excuse me . . . . "5 mile radius". Could not resist. Bring young men in and if they pan out under Pruitt in the first year, we have a different recruiting trail in 2015.

There are several, good, young(er) coaches that will probably hit the recruiting trail for UGA soon. As I have said before, richt, please stay out of the way. Help when help is requested. JMO.

Believe and hope we are targeting more defensive recruits that that. Elisha Shaw, Bryson Allen-Williams, Rashaan Evans just to name a few. I would be willing to bet Dontavious Russell is still being contacted.

Agree, that I would be willing to wait for the right hire, but 6 days, and not one position filled is costly. Not saying they all have to be filled, but concerning to me that not one of them is at this point.

GO DAWGS. Maybe they have something working behind the scenes. Pruitt worked out that way. Just hate we are -3 coaches on the recruiting trail.

Went back and looked at this post again.

ogredawg, if I had two young players to choose from, but could only take one, my choice would be the offensive lineman. We have missed on "several" good offensive linemen for different reasons. Don't need excuses, we did not get them.

We did get one of the best to come from the State of Georgia, in a long time, maybe the best ever from your Alma Mater. Dyshon Sims will make practice difficult for our defensive linemen . . . . this Spring. Incredibly talented and ready for this again . . . . "nasty". Nick Saban wanted Dyshon . . . . badly. He is honorable, on his way to the University of Georgia. I said that.
