I could live with that. Would love Kirby. Been very critical of Bobo over the years. Have seen improvement, and I'm not sure how much richt's desire to live and die by the pro set may have affected Bobo. As we all know, there have been some years we did NOT have the personnel to make a pro set 100% effective, but richt's unwillingness to change reared it's ugly head.

Excellent reading sadlerdawg. 100% agreement on trying to run the pro set without the needed parts. Not only at quarterback, offensive line comes to my mind. Appears to be some adjustments being made on the offensive line. Might be by myself, but like what I think I see in Will Friend. Thinking he might have been handicapped much as you suggest the possibility of Mike Bobo going through the "follow the leader" routine.

McGarity came back, let that be the standard when discussing Kirby Smart coming home. Folks running the program want to see Sanford Stadium filled on every football date . . . . don't let Kirby Smart go to another SEC team. Still have a feeling that Texas is going to take a serious look at Kirby. Makes sense. Texas has as much high school football talent as any state. Add Kirby Smart and his link to Nick Saban over a long period, winning NC's, along with his "roots" in recruiting Georgia high schoolers . . . . scary. Could and will happen if Mahogany Row sits on their 9-3, 10-2, lack of BCS bowls formula.

My two cents.

Seems I remember hearing Bauta is another Tim Tebow and also remember hearing about how talented he is. Then I wondered why he was at UGA. Does not fit into our typical QB scheme of drop back passer. We once had a QB with mobility and we won the SEC back in 2005. Haven't won since.

TN Dawg, never felt that DJ got the attention he deserved. Kicked LSU and lost by 3 in the Sugar Bowl.

Have a hard time understanding how our team has been coached over the years in certain areas. While the record when presenting the wins and losses looks ok, comes a point in time when that "looking good" just does not appeal to everyone.

Sooner or later facts have to be recognized. What prevents Georgia from remaining a top ten or top five team year after year?

I will never be convinced it can be laid at the feet of the talented players year after year. I call that the Todd Grantham approach at this point . . . . Once upon a time it was the Willie Martinez approach. I often go back and read some of Willie's remarks after a game, baffles me that he continues to coach D1 football. Also, appears that Todd Grantham is sliding down the same slope.

Mark Richt has become far too much the exact replica of Bobby Bowden. Almost like Father, like Son. Cannot and will not get over the Vanderbilt game. This staff seems far too comfortable to me.

Allow me this . . . . every team has injuries. Not an excuse. Read several places where our team winning is based on Todd Gurley playing. What the hell does that say for our program? Some boast about our recruiting classes, as will be the case with the 2014 Class. What in fact happens to all of the chest bumping and media hype after the signatures are presented. Things that cross my mind, too often these days.

Buc wrote: Be reminded that Nick Marshall, yes he of the "sticky fingers" is now running the Auburn offense. What happened? Simply in my view, brought a coach in to run the program that understands "talent". Remember Marshall was going to be a defensive back at Georgia. Reminds me of a quarterback in the NFL that wanted to be a quarterback, Georgia coaches appraisal of the young man . . . . tightend. Young man ends up with a National Championship ring and first round #1 pick in the NFL. What more needs to be said?

IMO, this says it all as far as this "coaching" staff's recruiting/talent evaluation is concerned.

The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!

Now, I believe I am going to have to go against this thread a little. Don't know that I can really argue with CMR's evaluation, or development of a qb. I don't doubt Faton is a very talented young man. IMO, not good enough to take snaps away from AM. He will have his opportunity to win the job next year.

Going to disagree about the Gurley comment too. Does he make our football team better? Of course. Could we win without him. Of course, he missed 3 quarters in the LSU game. I hear the talking heads in the media, but don't think it was Gurley's single injury. It was the cummulative effect. Regardless, you take away a teams top player, sure it is going to hurt. I will say thing, when he was out against LSU, our offense didn't miss a beat.

Don't even agree with Bobby Bowden comparison. Yeah, the are christian football coaches. Bowden was clueless and wasn't bringing in talent. Not to mention they were having terrible season after terrible season. We came 5 yds short of a NC title last year. Call it what you want, that is a fact. Not exactly what Bowden was putting on the field.

I am ready for Kirby because I think CMR is tired and believe he will leave on his own in a couple of years. I want CMR gone because I don't want to miss out on Kirby.

Not going to continue to rip the guy. He was a DGD.

I don't think FB is going to have much of an opportunity to win the job next year. That job was promised to
Mason in order to keep him from transferring.

I really don't even want to get started with talking about Faton, Lemay, Ramsey all trying to be on the field
at the same time...

I just wish we had the committment to depth on the O-line we seem to have for the QB position..

God Bless and Go Dawgs
