Going over some articles I flagged to read later but never got around to reading....
A few weeks back we here started talking about the complexity of the defense....

The thing is we all know the D was really young and we expected problems at the beginning. I think we just expected a lot more progress after the Baptism of fire our early schedule gave us. So it seems very possible that the complexity of learning the D is a real problem. I read another article that I can't find the link to right now where MR responded to that by saying they were limiting the playbook because of that, but maybe the complexity of
page 2 is the reason why we can't move on from page 1... so I'm not sure that is a response that makes it acceptable. In that article, he did not refute that the D was very complex, and now we have former players saying their NFL playbook isn't even as hard...
