This really makes me mad as Hell!!

Hope there is a special place for them.

Please tell your sister I'm very sorry for their loss.

I'm an animal lover, and so is my wife . . . not PETA types, just compassionate to creatures that don't necessarily control their own fates. We are NOT, I repeat NOT cat people. However:

About a month ago a stray cat showed up in our hedges. She was starving to death and not looking so great. We gave her some dog food, and later some cat food. She was VISIBLY grateful. I took her to the vet the next day, hoping someone might be missing a cat - of course no one was. She is a SWEET cat, with a good personality and litter trained, so she isn't feral at all. Someone, somewhere, took care of this cat at least at some time in the last year.

Anyway, turns out she was also pregnant. The vet said 3 to 5 could be counted, but not sure of the total. A couple weeks later, I walk out on the back deck (it's covered and screened and it was still warm out), and there are not 5, not 8, but 12 kittens in there with her. The whole litter was premature. One died the next day, but the other 11 are now doing well.

We'll wind up keeping mom and maybe one or two kittens - good responsibility for the kids, and these animals really are unusually nice to be around for cats. She doesn't even smell bad.

So anyway, DWS, I was just telling you that so you could pass on to your sister to keep faith that not everyone is a POS like whoever did that. I'm sure her pet is in a great place now, and it's suffering is ended.

Edit - and oh yes - GATA!!!! Go DAWGS!!!

Buc, very good post. Actually, great post.

DWS, sorry to hear about your sister's dog. You are correct, sad world we live in. Unfortunately, just going to get worse. 20 years from now, God and the Bible will be taken out of everything. Not even going to start though. Nothing good has come from areas that we remove the Lord's name from.

I am VERY THANKFUL, that CMR is not afraid to admit and display his believes. Lost a very good friend last week in a horrific accident on I-40. Only comfort I can find is knowing where he is, and what he believed. More to life than winning football games. 30 years ago, a good coach was someone who did the right thing no matter what. Now, people actually try to justify doing the wrong thing just to win college football games.

GO DAWGS, sorry for the ranting guys.

AD5......one of the most "meaningful" posts I have read on this forum. You are so right and people had better wake up.

So sorry to hear about your friend......I'm sure he is at peace with the Lord.

Priorities.....football is way down the list.
