All of glowing remarks recently about Quayvon Hicks, wondered why he was sitting in the Tennessee game. As AllDawgs5 metioned in his post, appears that Hicks has forgotten how to block.

Brings this thought to my head. If I don't carry the ball, then I don't block for those that do. See punt block on film if you did not see the total lack of effort yesterday. He did finally throw a really good block for Green, maybe someone got his attention. We do have a walk on named Merritt Hall that understand he has to block and does.

Hope I am not seeing what I think I see. Don't need pouting from this group.

Just looking at a few things, will watch the film more than once or twice.

1. lay it to rest that AM can't win a big game....clutch with ice in his vains...SEC MVP in 1st half of the season.

2. coaching....while not Bobo's best, I'll give him a pass with 3 of your most important players out of the game and an inept ST. It appeared to me that the PLAYERS panicked which disrupted a lot of play execution....they seemed "frozen".

Now CTG??.....not impressed anymore with him. The D should AT LEAST know where to line up now. He was out coached several times at KEY moments.....not much improvement....really needed Matthews

3. ST's....is it just me?......I thought back in the Clemson game that our punter needed to back up 2-3 yards....he just doesn't seem far enough back, especially with how slow he is to get it off. We came close to having several more punts blocked this year.

4. We could be in big trouble the rest of the year....better pray that Gurley comes back and can stay healthy....Rumph needs to get healthy and fill some shoes, FAST....Davis needs to be a key WR for us, could be a big playmaker....

5. All championship teams have a game like this....remember BAMA/LSU a couple of years ago with the game winning blocked FG by BAMA?

6. Impressed with Friend...overall our OL has been impressive....gotten much better unlike our D

7. Ecstatic we won.....worried the injuries may be too much to overcome....Gurley needs to stay healthy simply because AM can't be expected to win every game for us with a depleted supporting cast.

Happy but very worried.

Going with sadlerdawg on this Special Teams problem(s). sadlerdawg goes way back on this board calling for someone to take over Special Teams. We heard Mark Richt make mention of helping. Not good enough. Cannot be a one game on, one game off in the Special Teams area.

Not sure about giving Mike Bobo a pass in this game. Matter of fact, I am sure that he along with Grantham were out coached. Reason I say that. AM took this team under his wing and moved down field calling the plays. Plays that are normally run by the first unit.

Some are beginning to understand that Conley is not a second rate receiver. Can site many plays he has made over his time in Athens. What about the one handed catch in the end zone. Conley is another true Dawg that remained two years in Athens with AM in the summer to improve their games.

Have just started reviewing the game film. More to say.

Seems to me that there are several on this board and others that like to talk football. Both before and after a game. That includes me. The link placed here comes from the Volunteer web site. Might want to have a little something to say after reading this link. Saw several things that jumped out to me.

Will list one from the bleacher report article. . . . Talking heads. Has Steven Cook not heard of, or watched pass tip drills in high school, college and the NFL. When you really want to see if a player is concentrating, tip drills bring the bacon home. Falling in Conley's lap, please, give me a damn break "Talking Head".

Pass Defense
Georgia's Aaron Murray was given easy first-down throws all half. Chris Conley made a spectacular one-handed touchdown grab, and some luck—a tipped pass on fourth down falling in Conley's lap, going 24 yards and setting up a Bulldogs touchdown—was also involved.

AM given easy first down throws all half. Pal, Willie Martinez is the defensive backfield coach. Should have continued in certain situations in the second half, even with missing first team players.

AM proved he could get it done without the help of his offensive coordinator in this game. Last touchdown, listen closely folks, those of you that think there are not others that can produce, check the last drive with time on the clock, without first stringers.

Earlier thriller had pointed out the condition of the Neyland Stadium Field. Here is another posters comments on the Volunteer network that agrees with thriller.

Apparently UT's field is in terrible shape which contributed to Scott wessely and Bennett going down with knee injuries. It kinda sucks that a big time program like tennesee cuts corners on turf!

The Link.

Keith Marshall and Justin Scott Wesley out for the season with ACL tear. Bennett is going to have surgery to determine the damage to his knee, so far Richt has said he is out for Missouri.

Hoping these guys have a speedy recovery I know first had that ACL tears are a pain in the butt to get over.

Need our you get guys to step up now more than ever, hoping we can and will replace the play makers we lost.

Bobo get your ass in gear and be ready for next Saturday.

Worst thing that could happen on offense with a struggling defense.

I hate you Neyland.
