Reminds me of another hard hitting defensive player we had few years back, Tony Gilbert. Joe Kines said TG hit like a hammer. Hopefully TM will follow in the footsteps of Gilbert and Thomas Davis to name a few.

TN Dawg, so right you are. TD still stays close to the happenings in Athens. TN Dawg, this depth thing is beginning to look really good. This old man still holding out for a left tackle on that offensive line.

Saw another shot of Todd Grantham holding a young man (not a UGA player) in his arms during the celebration, like that a lot. Big smile on Grantham's face, he likes what he is seeing with his players.

Also noticed AM and Grantham exchanging hugs, AM has said that he really likes being around our defensive coordinator. No doubt in my mind that Grantham along with many others have aided AM in his pursuit of moving forward.

Like AM or not, he is setting a standard for those that follow him. By that I mean, film study, off season training, camps if necessary. My bet is that Mike Bobo has learned a lot from AM. Keep hoping that some reporter will ask Mike that question in one of his videos.

My brother saw Tony Gilbert in Publix a couple of years ago...said he is still a man and a very nice guy.

Thomas Davis could stop a truck.....he was actually dangerous.

wlayton, don't know why I am laughing so hard, guess it is my "dark side". Your mention of TD is totally accurate.

Referees did just that with the entire game. Especially with the defensive backs. There were clear "violations" . . . . hitting too early, hidden arm wrapped, that sort of thing. Referees let both sides play the same way. I for one can live with that.

Yeah, they did....

and I have no problem with that as long as it goes both ways, and it did.

I don't really remember much about the reffing in this game, so that means they did a good job.

Yes they did.... This particular statement you made is generally how I feel.

I don't really remember much about the reffing in this game, so that means they did a good job.

steve . . . . think you might need a slight adjustment when trying to "quote" someone. Language seems to be "confused". I have had a problem with that today, think someone had mentioned it earlier.

From Pat Forde:

Best game: LSU-Georgia (11). Put it this way – this game was so good it outshined an Alabama-Texas A&M showdown that largely lived up to its considerable hype. This one gets the nod because of the back-and-forth drama. There were five ties and four lead changes, two of the latter in the final two minutes. There was brilliant quarterback play, excellent catches, tough running – and even a smidge of defense at the end, as the Bulldogs held on to win, 44-41.

Most overrated game: Michigan-Notre Dame (12). It hogged the national spotlight on Sept. 7, but now everyone is free to wonder what all the excitement was about. The Fighting Irish are 3-2 and unranked. The Wolverines are still unbeaten but looked so bad while beating lightweights Akron and Connecticut that they have dropped from No. 15 to No. 19 in the AP Top 25.

I love that.
