I have spoke about Father Joe many times here. He knows his trade and add the fact he has been around UGA football since 1982 he knows Georgia football as well as anyone/ The man is a major player in our success. Good move on raises for him and his staff.

Don't mean for this to be negative yd1. Took the current leaders a while to recognize JTII and his many positilities. When the players speak out as they have done with the exception of one case (IC), something is going right. IC was just too damn lazy to hold any portion of UGA football above HIMSELF.
Sometimes when posting I refer to the fact that I see changes in Athens. This is another change that was made (JTII) becoming the leader that he is. Really like it when Mark Richt stood his ground with IC on the issue of JTII. Guess that was the reason for IC to show his butt on the sideline with Richt, pp'd that he did not get his way in the S&C.
What a blessing Marshall and Gurley have been to this point. Apparently both are coming back this year with added muscle and health. Defensive folks around the league would just as soon not hear that coming out of Athens.
Really like the comments coming from Todd Grantham. Not one usually to give out too much information, but he has loosened up a bit, and I think it helps the overall program. Grantham is strung pretty tight, in his case think that it works.
Looking over what has happened under Grantham, believe the overall defense has raised itself to another level, appears it was as Grantham said when first coming on board. Sees a bright future for Georgia and he also said or someone said it would be a three year plan. Not too far off in my opinion. Maybe I am wearing the "glasses" but I see more depth and potential top notch SEC players on our defense right now than I have EVER SEEN.
When I look at the overall defense and the incoming players, makes this old man get excited. Same coaching staff. Each year those not leaving for the NFL or graduating come back a year stronger with Grantham's schemes.
What's not to like about Georgia football? Beats days gone by, and those are "recent days gone by".
