Takes me to this . . . .
Know that most of you do not have the off time that I find myself with these days. Still do some things related to Georgia football, but now I can "pick and choose".
Looking around, remembering times past, came up with the video below. Football game brings back many memories of young men that "gave it up for the University of Georgia".
Been around long enough to see many changes in Athens. Took me a while to settle in with Mark Richt. Liked the fact that Mark Richt accepted the Head Coaching position at Georgia. Being one of those long lost souls . . . . (Buc), had watched Richt operate in Tallahassee. He was masterful, he however had not run a "total operation" . . . . meaning a SEC Football Operation, basically from the top. Any way that I look at that . . . . "better have yourself ready for what is to follow".
Young man (Mark Richt). . . . "wet behind the ears" . . . . almost backed out at the last minute (true) then "rolled the dice".
Mark Richt is not a "proud man" in the sense of the words. Mark Richt is a very dedicated man that puts "both feet" forward when he believes in a direction or principle. Long story short. Have said this a couple of times . . . . did not like Mark Richt being humble, especially when it came to Urban Meyer and the end zone crap that followed, Mark Richt apologizing. That was what every media person did as long as Meyer was the coach at Florida. Mark Richt grew from that. My opinion.
Talked long enough . . . . Don't watch this video if you think UGA has no chance against Clemson. Georgia went to Clemson and said simply . . . . time to play . . . . I will not sell this group of defensive football players short. Neither will you and you and you . . . .
