Who's carrying Who?

Who's carrying Who? was created by growl
After reading what Seth Emerson has written, after the "G" day game, and after a couple of articles from the Bleacher Report it seems that the defense really showed up to play some football at the "G" day game and pretty well came away looking stronger than was expected by many. Knowing how strong the Offense was last season it leaves me with a question as to who will be taking the lead, the O or the D. Taking into account that the Offense probably did'nt show all it had and the Defense might have played its best, How do you feel the team will be oriented? Better "D" or "O".

growl, in my way of thinking, it will probably come down to who we are playing.

Feel much better with the depth that we have on defense, take those same words, more depth on the offense.

This season is different from the get go than in recent seasons. While the defense is "supposedly" less experienced, no doubt in my mind that they are in better shape.

Looking forward to playing Clemson in the opener. Watched the LSU/Clemson game in Atlanta, did not see the team that we start with being "all that". Promise you that Clemson understands that UGA will come to play.

Hey Growl,

I think you can't read to much into the "O"'s showing in the G=Game.

Not much TG & KM missing MM and MB true we had some guys show up catching the ball.

Like the "O" early to carry the water, we will play good "D" and by the time we hit JAX it will be a very good "D".

We just need more game type snaps on "D". We have some guys who will hit you..love it

Think that the following article plays into the thread growl. Talking about defense and offense. Believe these young pups will return in the fall and first . . . . be in shape. Second, will have avoided trouble, allowing them to play rather than sit for a game or more.

Have not heard what AM is up to at this point, maybe some of you have. I would guess that he will probably spend time with his receivers again . . . . Clemson will be right around the corner.

Have always liked David Ching's reporting, much different than the AJC "stuff". David was with the Columbus Ledger prior to Seth. Like most of what both bring to the table.

Edit: Appears that Quayvon Hicks is ready for some action. Really like strong fullback play, as does AM. :)

Totally agree with your post yd1......I'll go with the "O" carrying the load early (and will continue to play well all year) and the "D" doing some catching up.

I just feel this offense is top 5 in the country and will average over 40 per game (believe last year we averaged just over 37?). Barring injuries, this offense will be very difficult to stop and if the D can't get to the O's level it will mainly be because the offense is one of THE best in CF.

wlayton, reading your post took me back to LSU in Atlanta, then Alabama in Atlanta.

We had talent then, have talent now.

If experience and talent on offense means anything, 40 points is not out of the question for the 2013 offense.

Really glad to see all of the activity on the defensive side of the ball. Two deep could be the answer to some earlier problems.

From all that I can gather, Grantham and his group are feeding the playbook to the players at a fast pace this season. Tells me that this group of pups are ready to wear the colors.
