I am not happy the players went elsewhere, but toward the Atlanta area, there is no allegiance there to UGA. People say lock down the state. Well it is impossible with the Atlanta area. People go there for work, and work only. They have allegiance other places. To me, Georgia is the most skewd state as far as recruiting. Many recruits are actually closer to clemson or auburn than they are Athens. And as stated before, families move to Atlanta for work and considering it is not a dominant UGA area, nothing is going to convert them from following the teams they already do.

Still pretty happy. We got a lot of very good football players.

GO DAWGS. Glad to have all the new signees.

You make a very good point about the Atlanta area AD5. Check the roster over the years and we find that South Georgia and North Florida were our areas, along with South Carolina.

Looking forward to the 2013 Season.

Atlanta and surrounding area is definitely a transient/transplant area, but I hoped
we would have gotten a couple of those top guys.

Oh well... I am not unhappy with who we did get, and like I said earlier we filled a
lot of needs on D especially.

I'm just a bit bummed because I don't ever think we recruit enough O-line depth and
I really wanted Tunsil.

God Bless and Go Dawgs

I really think Tunsil is going to regret his choice. Nkemdiche too.

I don't remember where (maybe here?), but I know I read somewhere that Ole Miss is raising some eyebrows with its ability to grab these recruits like this. I read something to the effect that they have been promising to extend scholarships to family members of certain recruits to "sweeten the pot".

FakeESPN, a humor site, posted a fake report that the NCAA has rented apartments in Oxford in anticipation of the impending investigations!

Just keeping in mind here that Boise State came to our fair state and whipped our 4 and 5 star talent with 2 and 3 star talent. COACH THEM UP - I think I've heard that before!

Ole Miss is def up to something...

I predicted a few days ago that in 2013 and 2014 they will have back to back 9-3 type seasons
shortly before the NCAA violations come down and send them back to their usual 5-6 type seasons.

Wartdawg, I am with you on the bummed. Certainly not about the young men that we now have, just wonder sometimes about THINGS. Some of the players that were put on a pedestal will not end up there. Talking about 5 stars, stars that are put there and sometimes never reach that lofty position in college football for one reason . . . . until you put the cleats on and enter a stadium with 90,000 or so fans, all of that media hype means nothing.

WD, then I remember some that made all of us very happy on recruiting day, and those same players at the end of their journey had most of us scratching our heads. IC certainly had an effect on many of us, and I venture to say it was not positive. He is not the only one, would be willing to post some names later.

2012 Class had a lot of really good young men coming to campus. I feel the same way with the 2013 Class, loads of talent, especially on the defensive side.

This year (2013) could be one of those years that the talent in Athens rises up and plays football for four quarters. I believe that will happen, especially on the D side of the ball.

I truly don't fear us not being able to score points, we have young men on the offensive side that have proven themselves. Having AM back is to me like having a #1 quarterback leading our team. AM knows what he has, so does Mike Bobo.

I read what you say about injuries on the offensive line, ogredawg does the same, a legitimate concern. Maybe, just maybe some of the many players on scholarship representing the offensive line will stand up and be counted, that time is now.

This team . . . . don't laugh at me . . . . has the chance to be like the Boise State Team that left Atlanta with a win because of one reason . . . . they understood the game.

All of the young players recruited this year have to do something that they have not done before . . . . they have to line up against players that are their equal or damn close and face off, this is not high school football, this is the SEC, top conference in the nation, and top 7 draft classes in the top 10 . . . . according to the TALKING HEADS.

Brother, I am excited. Now it comes down to coaching, not recruiting. Can't put my finger on it, just believe this is going to be a special year. Say this, look at the talent that is returning, this is not a cream puff group. Not going to be one of those that say two years off, I like what we are doing now. I really like Gurshall, we will see if anyone else in the SEC comes close.
