Couple of things come to mind after watching the game last night.
Thought back to the days of Willie Martinez being our defensive coordinator, specailty on that side of the ball being defensive backfield coach. If my memory is right, think that AM completed his first ten attenpts. Will also say this, AM looked very good throwing the ball, yes I do know, not the best team in the conference.
Alec Ogletree is a beast, think sometimes I look at Jarvis Jones and forget that #9 is cut from the same cloth in a lot of areas.
Play calling was outstanding. It was mentioned on this board a short time back that AM could play pitch and catch all night if he wanted to against Auburn.
kentdaddy, my wife and myself went nuts in the man cave when Marshall broke the big one. So right you are about his speed, just pulled away from the defenders. Awesome. Looked like drag racing, the Auburn defenders had only three gears, Marshall had four.
Conley is a player. Also think I saw him throw a couple of blocks downfield.
Appears to me that this was definitely the nail in the coffin for Chizik. He looked lost on the sidelines, apparently the Auburn faithful realized that by the third quarter. Still have to play Alabama, future for Auburn is going to be in the hands of a newcomer.
Comes down to this for Buc. We have added some coaches that have worked hard and are getting the results that they hoped for. South Carolina loss set all of us back. Was not a loss, it was a butt whipping. We learn much more about our team in Atlanta. I am less afraid of Alabama than I was a week or two ago.
Going to be interesting to see the changes that look imminent in the SEC coaching ranks. Tennessee seems to be on the same path as Auburn, not all Saban disciples make it.
