All of the reading that I have done on the Tennessee game and what we should do, along with the videos from the players, appears our number one deal this week is the pass rush, if we are going to be successful.
If the pass rush is going to be the name of the game, it is beyond me believing that the UT offensive line can block our pass rushers. No doubt that they are going to run some, but don't think their heart will be in carrying the pigskin for too long, or too many times. I certainly do not see a 50/50 pass/run game from Tennessee. More than likely, screens and flat passes. Especially if we are bringing the heat, and there will be heat. Amarlo will be licking his Bulldog Chops along with a couple of others when the short stuff appears.
No doubt Tennessee has two very good receivers, however one of the receivers is a newcomer and he will face competition from some folks that have some experience under their belts and are athletic. I do not believe that CP has the play book down at this point, he has certain routes that he runs, period. Will be interesting to see just how much man coverage is "allowed" or "needed".
One particular post in this thread that I really agree with is #62 by WoodstockDawg. How much Grantham will show defensively depends on Tennessee. Here is hoping that we "turn the Dawgs loose" and never let up. Believe as said above, we can break Bray's spirit. Don't want to break his bones, just his spirit.
Edit: I am finally convinced that our offense is not Chopped Liver. My opinion.
