And think of this too - if Gurley and Marshall are both sitting, then "next man up" is Ken Malcome!! And if he needs a spell, you've still got Richard Samuel to pound that rock!! Two explosive freshmen backed up by an explosive sophomore and a grizzled veteran!! I'll take that!

Amen... Lordy how I have missed a consistent running game.
The passing game is very exciting to watch, but I'll take a team that can jack up
200+ running yards a game any and every day of the week. You can throw the ball all you want but NOTHING can take away an opponents desire to keep going better than pounding the
rock at them for 4 quarters at 6-7 yards a clip.
It's the boxing equivalent of the heavy body punch, and it breaks their will.

Some interesting things are said in the clip below. Mentioning the possibilities of a "trap game".
Think that the same or close to the same was said about Missouri by some in the media. Anything can happen, but when I look at Saturdays game, think I am ready to say that all of the "next man up" talk that started on the defensive side is going to pay dividends. Appears to me that this is what Grantham has been aiming for since his arrival in Athens.
There is tremendous depth in most areas of this Georgia football team, both offensively and defensively. Understand that the offensive line has had a short time together, but if last week is any indication of what they can do, or if they can play up to 75 or 80% of the Vandy performance, this Georgia team is going to be hard to beat.
The players said that they came back for a reason. When we have the likes of Jarvis Jones and his group (and there are many) this is a very good football team. I don't see this group letting down, if anything, would worry more about their "motors" running too high. That as we all know sometimes brings on those dreaded penalties, and they are usually of the 10 to 15 yard type.
Bray, these guys know that you are a pocket passer, if you do decide to run, there are some folks in the running lanes that also take this game seriously. Noticed that you folks like to run the slants over the middle . . . . I would not like to be the receiver facing the quarterback looking for the ball, those footsteps you hear, they are coming from Junkyard Dawgs. Damn I love saying Junkyard Dawgs again, been way too long.

Yeah.. late in the 3rd and early in the 4th...
When the D is on the verge of folding up like a cheap suit....
We bring in a FRESH KM and/or RS to pound on them? That's almost criminal.
Just remember coaches.. this works when you KEEP POUNDING THE ROCK
God Bless and Go Dawgs

Buc, said it before......when the Dawgs get over the "proverbial" hump, they have always been a big momentum team........NO letdown, they just got started on their roll last weekend.

wlayton, this is a very talented team. Sometimes good teams slip, but speaking for myself, glad to have this group of young men and when 2012 is over, there should be a lot for us to discuss. I do not believe that we will see this group quit. That matters.
