The UGA/UT 2006 game takes me back a ways, don't know that I have ever completely healed from a UGA team that "gave up" and not sure we that the wound opened that day has fully recovered.
From where I sit . . . . would love to see a repeat of the Vandy game this past Saturday. Not talking about score, scores can be deceiving, and often are. We have more talent, enough experience and if AM shows himself to be what I watched against Vandy, we are the better team. AM showed the same kind of leadership against Vanderbilt that he did on the high school level at Plant.
I don't believe that Tyler Bray comes close to being the "leader" that AM is. Grantham's players are going to make Bray's Saturday in Athens a game to remember. Bray is throw first, run (not him) maybe. Bray standing 6'6" wants to be a NFL quarterback, and I also believe he is a "me first" player. Have watched several of his games and I flat out do not see a "team leader".
Supposedly the Volunteers offensive line was rated superior to our offensive line in the eyes of the "Xperts" prior to the opening games in the SEC 2012. Watching the two offensive lines will be worth the price of admission between the Hedges. Sure liked the "scrubs" on the offensive line for UGA and the way they played against that other Tennessee team.
We don't need to have any home losses this season, no losses at all would be great, but if we are to lose, hope it is not between the Hedges.
Go Dawgs . . . . Will Friend, believe you are coaching'em up!
