Vanderbilt vs UGA . . .Unfinished Business

thriller, started to post and ask you yesterday about the Vegas line. Know that you keep close quarters on the line.

Don't know how much this means, but the young fellow that recently came into the Vandy quarterback picture apparently has a set of wheels also . . . A. Carta-Samuels, 6-1/224.

Jordan Matthews has averaged close to 17 yards per catch the past three seasons. Zac Stacy has averaged close to 6 yards a carry. Reason I bring these stats up, don't really see a team that is that hard to prepare for. Could be the reason for the Vegas line.

Not counting my chickens before they hatch, ball does bounce funny. Can't see Vandy running on our front seven, not quite sure where that leaves them.

Allow me this . . . don't . . . do not be surprised if Franklin shows his butt again, he has the make-up to do the unexpected. Rather than watching his p's and q's, could again try hard to get the press to focus on him. With his personality (or lack of) he needs to come out of Athens with some attention. Atlanta seems to be his main focus on recruiting.

Just want to play a complete game, see what makes the Red and Black tick.

Go Dawgs . . . :)

Can't forget they made a change at center too against Presbyterian. Franklin could be playing possum, but all the indications in the local media are that Austyn Carta Samuels gets the start. Rodgers has been very inconsistent in their two losses throwing the ball. ACS looked to be a better passer. Tough draw for both, as I said before. This center gets his first SEC start I believe against this front seven. He'll be staring down big JJ and trying to shift the protection towards the other JJ on the outside.

Franklin hyped this team up good all offseason and has folks thinking they are better than they really are. They will play tough, but Vandy is not that good or deep.

Think Buc is right. Wouldn't put it past Franklin(Vanderbilt's and James Franklin's Chief Marketing Director) to pull something in our house to get attention. Look for some possible cheap shots on Shawn Williams too. He got away with a few last year and I'm sure will be a focal point for any extracurricular.

Any publicity is GOOD publicity as far as Franklin and Vandy are concerned. They are truly nothing more than an after thought in college football that is trying desperately to become a forethought. You're right - he'll try some cheap shot. But I don't think it will be aimed at Williams. I think it will be aimed at AM or Gurley. Hit where it hurts the MOST.

One thing that I believe we can count on and that is cloth flying all over the place. If so, that plays directly into the hands of Franklin. Gives him something to pitch a fit about, carbon copy of Steve Spurrier a while back. Needed attention and started throwing the visor. Press loved it, (so did SS) and a career was off and running in college football. Franklin, I believe is trying his best to copy SS and a couple others that I could mention.

One thing we can rest assured of . . . . those chop blocks will be coming from their offensive linemen. That alone could get the pot boiling if their center tries to cut Kwame and he will. That is where I think the "chippy stuff" will start.

Folks in the Nashville area seem to think that last years problems were because of Grantham's antics. I say to them . . . . hell yes, and through his so called antics, UGA returned to playing football like it was in days gone by. Stop Buc, you are getting po'd. :)

This is the type conversation that brings me back to the real world.

Edit: Another interview with Franklin. Right off talking about recruiting. Dawgs need to jump all over Vandy as some have mentioned here, leave no reason to doubt that Georgia is #5 or better.
