wlayton, think I see some things with this oline group that as you have said before, might be worth watching after a few games under their belts. Really impressed with Theus in a couple of clips that I have watched and the placement of his feet. This young man starts I think, day one. This offensive line is going to be better than the 2011 group, just don't have too many second thoughts about that.
Hoping that you and your clan are progressing from the recent setback.

Some that read this board are aware of my feeling for Ramik Wilson. Comes from Central Florida West. Played for a school (Jefferson) that has had and still has huge battles with AM's high school (Plant). Both schools are football factories. Ramik has some of the same makeup that the Raiders players had back in the day. Check his youtube film out . . . Ramik will hit you in the mouth. I am really excited to see him starting opposite Jarvis, this could be awesome. On top of his "testy" football side, Ramik is a gentleman.
There have been changes made in Athens that really get me fired up. We now have competition on the defense . . . . what a change from the days of Willie. Grantham has systematically since his arrival put the puzzle together. Young men are clamoring to get playing time, and that is becoming an increasingly difficult task if they don't stack up. Like Ramik said, there are a lot of good football players ready to step in. Damn I love defense. Grew up with the SEC, how could I not like what I see "Associate Head Coach Grantham" and his group of coaches doing in Athens.

duck wrote: Buc, can't argue with you on all the postive talk coming out of Athens. I just have never been a fan of talk that gets printed. For me just keep your mouth shut and show me how determined you are on the field of play. This avoids the new media from misquotes, or locker board material. I'm not saying it is not good for the players to believe in themselfs and the team, hell I think that is great and if the chemistry is there, no telling what we can do.
You'd think with all the running off at the mouth Spurrior is doing, we'd have extra incentive to whip his but in Columbia and do so in embarrising fashion. I would love to be suprized, go into Columbia, and beat his cocks by 24 points. Now look at me, I not being very realistic!!!!!
duck, you have probably watched the clip below, if not . . . . another reason that I start believing again is when I listen to Todd Grantham say the things that he says below. Grantham is holding no punches, he is not only talking to the media, he knows that his "players" will see the film also. Anyone that played the game knows that there is nothing better than having the "man" pat you on the back. Another thing that his coach speak does is put the "playing time issue" on their backs. Want to play? Perform. Todd Grantham is a special "defensive coach" at this point.

Nothing against Vasser or Rambo, but I would love to see the guys replacing them never look back after getting the starting job. No better wake up call for the entire team. Might make these young men a little more aware of what is at jeopardy.
Great article.
