Thanks for the kind words my friends. I did not mean to say or inply that people on here felt like I was a traitor, I just know everyone gets tired of my always being so negitive. This is one reason I don't post as much as I should. I had just rather read about everyone hopes and expectations rather that always come back with a negitive post. I have never got caught up in the hype of UGA having a good team, or a great team, I have always had the wait and see approach to things. I always hope that things pan out with the expectations, but it seems I would get disappointed if I took this stuff to heart. I always want us to win, and win championships.

I just saw an segment on ESPN U about UGA, and they brought up the fact that AM has NEVER beaten a top 20 team in his career at UGA. So is this the year that he over comes this obstacle, I surely don't know. They brought up the fact that he has great numbers, but the numbers are against inferior teams and that he chokes against quality teams with fumbles and interceptions.

With sll the great athletes we have it is stats like this that keeps me from getting excited and over joyed about the up coming season.

Duck, like you I am a realist, maybe a little more black and white than many.

Don't like to think of myself as negative but I do try to look at things from every stand point I can think of. I have a couple of real successful friends that call me to run ideas by me, they affectionately call me the devils advocate. (even though technically incorrect usage of the word.)

Don't apologize for your honest thoughts and beliefs.

I read the comments in this thread, it just reinforces my reasoning for being a part of this board. All of us I am pretty sure read other boards or anywhere others post their feelings or whatever they feel like saying at the moment.

All we have to do is look at the folks that post here and it is very difficult not to become attached to the group for the reason that ogredawg and others have posted. Not a lot of BS here, not like we see when the media boys strike a headline trying to promote many times, animosity. There are few reporters that I have any faith in, they have more than one agenda and they try and use us to reach their goals.

When Duck comes up and has something to say, whether it be negative or positive, he is coming from a place that the cub reporters don’t understand. Duck is coming from the gut, he loves the University of Georgia and at times gets involved with our football team, players and coaches. Not here to start trouble, he is here because of that love for Athens and anyone and anything associated with UGA.

Reading the posts here is much different to me than reading some of the newspapers and media groups that are trying to stir the pot. Some boards have more posters/members than this board, but not all of those boards have the same amount of class that is normally shown here. Steve has done a good job of letting each one of us police his board, as he once said . . . . “Don’t really like kicking people off of this site”. That happens seldom. Others are allowing garbage, not all, some.

Duck, I am more than proud to call you my friend, and I can say that about all of the regular posters here. All of us have our positive days and we, like you, have those days when we need to be the head coach, athletic director and president at the University of Georgia. Those days, we know how to fix EVERY PROBLEM.

Went to bed last night thinking about what you posted Duck, up this morning (Lord blessed me again) and had to say a couple of things.
