I know JT2 changed us out of that same philosophy to more of a "bulk" strength philosophy, so maybe his focus fits UGA better. Whatever the case, I'm sure JT2 had a little something to do with the hire. I bristle a little at the suggestion that if someone gets fired from one location, they aren't worthy of working ANYWHERE. The scumbag company I used to work for would have fired me in 2010 if I hadn't had the b@lls to quit during the worst recession in U.S. history. Out of the 9 region staffers I worked with (including me), only ONE person is left, and he's only there because he has no backbone. I now maintain that if a scumbag company or organization fires you, it's probably because you don't fit in with the scumbags.
As for guilt by association, if we extend THAT logic, then I'm as guilty as anyone at Penn State, because when I was in high school we had a teacher/coach who was RUMORED to have been fondling the soccer players he coached. He never fondled ME, but he did once say something pretty suggestive. I never told a soul. Guilty, I guess. But hindsight being the perfect 20/20 that it is, I sure love the way everyone is so quick to assign blame to as many people as they can possibly dream up. The entire central Pennsylvania area is going to suffer for it for years to come, so "guilt by association" seems to hold true. Throw the book at me, I guess.

Its all how the media wants it to play out. UM had over 40 arrests in a 4 year period. That is actual arrest. UF is not required to publish any failed drug test until the 3rd offense I believe. Saban had a felon taken to prison for a lot longer than anyone on CMR's watch. Believe his name was Jimmie Johns or something.
Thomas specializes in HIT (high-intensity training)
As far as Thomas goes, its all gossip as far as I am concerned. Unless someone knows something for sure, I wouldn't come close to associating a man with this tragedy. Little accusations like that can tarnish a man's career especially when they were said out of personal believe, and have no factual evidence behind them.

duck wrote: OK so innocent until proven guilty, I can't argue with that. But why do we or did we hire a coach that was fired by PS. If he wasn't going a good job for PS, what makes us think that he will be a great fit for UGA. As I said I am tired of all the drama in college ball, especially at UGA. I guess I just wish we could have spring ball, and fall practice get ready and just play football.
I guess I just expect to much or am not realistic, for me, I want our players to work there but off, keep their mounths shut and put 110% on the field and beat the hell out of every team we play. I want them to be on a mission, seek and destroy the other team by being in better shape, and playing smart ball. I hate all the talk about what how great we are ect, just show me on the field how great you are.
duck, what you want is a flashback to our days of playing ball......our day won't ever come back. Society is spiraling straight downhill and I'm not so sure it can save itself. Whether business, economics, greed or selfish ambition in sports.........the simple and honest "old days" are GONE.

The responses from my fellow dawgs just shows me that this board is made up of caring and understanding men that want what is best for UGA. I know sometimes I act as if I am a trader, for I admit I am the most pessimistic person on this board. I just believe in team unity and not being a show boat, and what have you done for me lately.

You're a realist, imo.......we lived in the days when a handshake meant something. You have zero to apologize for.....
