I have never thought CMR was too lax on discipline, just too close with recruits personally and let them keep hanging on. That can get you in deep trouble. Maybe this is the catalyst needed to get the program on the road to recovery between fans and school. No one expects that football players, or anyone else for that matter, are angels, but,at least be accountable for your actions when you screw up. Seems some would rather point the finger at someone else and continue with unacceptable behavior rather than do the right thing by accepting responsibility for their actions. I for one am really tired of having to watch our coaches become, probation officers, psychologist, baby sitters, rather than being able to concentrate on coaching and winning ball games. No other work place puts up with this kind of crap for long, and it is a workplace because their college education is being payed for by us for them as long as they perform up to a certain standard.
