Seems Corn Washington doesnt think us fans should be upset when a player who has been in trouble MULTIPLE times start raising a little cane when they do something STUPID!! This was taken from John Jenkins facebook page earlier today. Yes, we DO acare about them outside of football! We want them to succeed in life! And YES, I think they should be held to a higher standard when they wear the G!!! I guess they dont understand that they are the face of UGA!!!

Y'all think you know so much, but in reality you know nothing. You don't know what we come from, you don't know our struggles, all you know is the number on our jersies. 99% of you don't give a crap about us outside of football. When we're doing well you're all in our faces, when things get tough and we need encouragement you're nowhere to be found. You're fake and I despise you for it. we all come from someplace good or bad but it is up to the indivdual to overcome thier personal struggles. IC has about all the encouragement one person could stand and he still screws up....only he screwed up with 2 felonies.....so Mr Washington is blaming it on IC's environment......2 years in Athens around his team mates and coaches does not seem like a bad environment to me......who encouraged IC to fail a drug test and now gets caught with a concealed pistol with altered serial numbers.....no one is to blame but IC and I hope for the sake of UGA football that the team does band together or it is going to a looooooonnnnnnng season......

Sounds like Cornelius Washington is sporting a punkitude. He'll be gone soon. You know what? He's right. I DON'T care about him outside of football . . . anymore than he cares about ME. If any of those guys gets a pro contract, they aren't donating any of the money to me. And, they got a FREE ride to an EXPENSIVE university, and many won't even graduate, because they'll "turn pro early". Why SHOULD I care about him outside of football?

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad there are guys like fire_dawg who cares about these kids outside of football. That is genuinely ADMIRABLE. However, I don't care about rock 'n roll stars outside of their music, actors outside of movies, or athletes outside of their sports. And you know what? None of them cares about me, outside of me paying (in one way or another) to enjoy their wares.

This punk is copping out. "I came up on the mean streets, and you just don't understand." Understand WHAT? How much FUN it is? Because it MUST have been fun, if you have as much potential as these thugs and you are STILL willing to throw it away smoking weed, or gang bangin', or slapping your girl around. If it was so TOUGH on those mean streets, wouldn't you be RUNNING to get away from it? Would you REALLY go to a bar until 3:00 in the morning on a Thursday morning, with a 9 mm semi-automatic under the seat, with the serial number filed off? Why file off a serial number, Cornelius? Just because you grew up in a tough neighborhood? Save that for the fools who buy that crap.
