we do have all winnable games, but that doesn't mean I think we will win them all.
You are absolutely correct... no proven RB's... we haven't had an O-line for several
years now, so I don't expect us to have one next year either. We also still have the
same bone headed OC with only 6 plays per game in his book, etc....
It is an easy schedule.... we could get through it undefeated but we've still got to
overcome some pretty big issues. It would not surprise me in the least to see us
trip up two or three times against someone on that schedule. In fact.. I pretty much
expect it to happen.

I'm just waiting for the O-line issues to be blamed on T Sturdivant's knee again.
We've already got youth/no proven RB as well for the running game ... might as well go ahead and get the rest of the list of excuses for 2012 prepared and ready to roll out. Should
be pretty easy... just copy the list of 2011 excuses for starters. lol

duck wrote: I find it had to believe that some of you have taken us to an undefeated season, what do you see that I don't see. We travel to Mo to face a pretty dgood team, we travel to USC a team that will be favored to win the SEC east. We barley beat Vandy, KY, Fla, I just don't get it. The 2012 dawgs, will be starting a new OL, still no proven RB's. I would just hold off on the perfect 12-0 record until we see how the spring and summer go.
You all must remember CMR run a loose ship, and these kids still have spring and summer to get in trouble. We lose one player that tried to hold this group together in Ben Jones, since AM applied for NFL status, to me he is just like Stafford, just thinking about himself.
I'm sorry to put a damper on the post, but I have never liked the predictions for next year when we have just lost 2 games in a row to quality teams. Oh yes, don't forget, we did not beat any of the teams with 8 or more wins, just the minor league teams that we were suppose to beat.
My point exactly. Just wondering what will be our excuse if we don't make a NC appearance. There certainly are no givens to getting there. Just look at that first game against MO. You better believe they will by psyched to play their first SEC game at home against a potential top 5 team.
Then you have the SC's, TN's, UF's and champions of the west to contend with. If we keep all the pieces in place it is still no cake-walk. We must play a perfect game every game! If all the 2012 team has the chemistry to go all the way, that would be an excellent thing. Call me a pessimist, but I just don't see us having the ability to that right now.
And boy do I hope I am wrong!

The coaches don't have to make excuses to me this year. I will take 10-4 after a 6-7 year and a 0-2 start. Not going to let one game totally ruin the season. If I were going too, it would have been the BSU game. That game was very frustrating, very poor job by CMR and staff. Other than that, I saw a team that bought in, and was playing their guts out for the most part. Whoever's lead they were following, they were giving their all. Proud of them.
I have never been one to mark a season as a success only by NC's. W-L's do matter though. Yeah, we have an easy SEC schedule, but I would take a ACC, Big 12, or Big 10 schedule over the one we have. Still have, usc, uf, aub, and a vandy team that is improving. GT is always going to be a tough game. They are a good football team. Johnson does a good job.
I hope for 11-12 wins, but I want to see the Dawgs ready for a fight against all opponents. No more lapses like I saw against BSU.
