I believe CWF will find a group that can get the job done. He will have plenty of numbers to work with. I have confidence in him.
I critized the O line early, but thought they really did alright this year. I was not pleased with the RB's. This is probably my biggest fear for next year. We have to find a back that can break an arm tackle in the line scrimmage for a big gain. Holes arent always going to be open or where they are supposed to be. Saw glimpses from KM the last game of vision and power. Keep pushing Malcomb.
And kicking game. Probably even bigger than the RB situation. Scary. Marshall kid has plenty of leg.
GO DAWGS
Glad I checked back AllDawgs5, was just before starting another thread.
Promise you from what little bit I know, kicker is awesome. Marshall Morgan will save us having to use a scholarship as we did two seasons back on the kicking game. He also punts as well as any in high school. Talented young man.
I am a great believer in some muscle in the backfield. Have been trying to follow Mike Davis around, trying to form an opinion. Think that Quayvon Hicks, hope I spelled that right, is more than a blocking fullback. He is a load. We have defensive strength, don't use Hicks as a DE, stick him in the backfield . . . . will put a smile on AM's face. Take away his nervous feet.
This will probably come back to bite me, however, don't like some of the back and forth between Mike Davis and different situations that he finds himself in. Really don't want to go back to year before last when we had backs with potential, but they had problems prior to coming to Athens. Couple that I can think of that had their way in high school and thought they could do the same in Athens. Might have another one as I post. Another thing I did like about Mark Richt, he released those that chose to refuse an extended hand of help and common sense.
If it was left up to me, I would remember Mike Davis choosing the gators over the Dawgs. Lots of hoopla. Something about Mike Davis does not sit well with me. There is another back in North Carolina that I would love to have. Crossed fingers he joins his friend in Athens. That would truly be awesome. Excites me typing that sort of thing. I'm easy . . . .
I also understand that Jarvis chose another school, but he came back to UGA under totally different circumstances. He will be one of the main reasons that UGA comes "close" to staying on course next season . . . . leadership.
Supposedly Andrews has a "streak", love that and know that he has had a lot reps against a pretty stout UGA defensive group this season. Feels good.
A player that I am focusing on now that the season is over, Brandon Greene, Cedar Grove. He supposedly is going to join Saban and his forces. Think I see a bit of a crack, maybe we can land Brandon. Really impressed checking his high school film out. Never stops, defensive ends belong to Brandon. Big frame and will definitely play at the next level, and will start at Georgia or Redshirt at Bama. All about building that depth. Saban is very good at that. If you haven't watched Brandon on youtube, take a look, he is BAD.
This time of the year actually comes close to how I feel at the beginning of each season. Friends, associates and film give many of us a clear look at what can be.
duck, McGarity did not leave you or I any room to wiggle. Mark Richt is coming back, would also bet the farm on this . . . . Mike Bobo will not be able to slide as he has done in previous years. Might be wrong, however I have always made hay by following my gut feelings. If this team does not come together on the offensive side it will be as OoltewahDawg said in another thread . . . . it would be offensive. Time to cut bait or . . .
We have the Spring, then we have a relatively "cush" schedule at the beginning of next season . . . with the exception of Missouri. Reps mean everything when breaking in "green horns". According to who our new recruits are and those on campus, I agree with AllDawgs5, running back is my major concern.
Last shot, hanging my hat on Friend, seems he gets down in the dirt with the boys.
Go Dawgs, recruit them and coach'em up.
