11-3 >>>>> 10-4. 11-3 is something we build on next year. 10-4 is something we almost need to RECOVER from.

Doubt they have seen our speed on defense.
I think Coach Friend probably has a few blocking schemes ready to pull out of his pocket.
We really need this win.
BUMP!!
As has been said by the media averagedawg, game against Michigan State is the first game on our schedule next year. Want to go undefeated or close to that, have to win the first game.

Real interesting question OoltewahDawg, guess I will have to hitch the reindeer up and chase that down. . . . .

OoDawg, checked on a few schools MSU played and here's what I came up with......hopefully correct, read pretty fast.
ND.....Weiss brought in the 3-4 in 2007 and Kelly also is running the 3-4
tOSU......mix....5-2, 3-3-5, 4-3 and 3-4
Michigan.....4-3 this year
Wis......believe 4-3
Neb....in transition now but believe ran 4-3
Minn....4-3
Again, at work so checked quickly....looks like they did face "some" 3-4's though.
Buc will look into it more thoroughly and confirm etc.

Team X can run a 3/4 one way with variations that are not common to other 3/4's that you may face in a given year or years.
If any of you have film on Tech and UGA, watch it and you will see that there are major differences in the way they run the 3/4 and the way UGA runs a 3/4. Also, compare the way that we ran the 3/4 last year and this year. Totally different, again because of personnel. Another reason that we slipped into the 4/3 a lot last year. Many of our players did not understand or have not played enough in a 3/4 to be real effective. Called playing at full speed. Much like we are doing now, and next year, Katie Bar the Door . . . .

Truthfully it comes down to personnel. Coach Grantham did not have all of the pieces he wanted last season. Players played hard, but last years 3/4 that we ran, not the same plan Coach Grantham ran this year. We all know what changed in the 3. The beautiful part of what the 3 did this year as opposed to last year . . . . it changed the entire game plan for the other 8.
The change or outcome of having the right personnel I think goes something like this. #29 All American with a lot more quarterback sacks and other things that a man of his talent can do in the right situation with the right coach. Say it again, Coach Grantham changed football at UGA. Neveer would this have happened prior to a coaching change.
OoltewahDawg, I know why you asked that question, and it makes sense. Had to think for a short spell before coming back. If Michigan State had tape on anyones 3/4 other than Coach Grantham's, might as well throw it in the garbage. Sorry to be so long again, but that is the TRUTH and I am sticking by it . . . .
