Below there is a link about IC and his latest comments and feelings about UGA, and his year to date. From where I sit, would love to see IC become a MAN, like many of the younger folks that have grown leaps and bounds this season. If you have not read this, I guess it pretty much ends the talk about IC not being eligible for Tampa. I hope that is the case. Would love to see him go in there with his BROTHERS and make a statement. A statement about him and a statement about the SEC.

There is no doubt in my mind at this point that Richt has changed some of his "bad coaching habits". One serious running back coming next season, and maybe two. Time to hitch the horses to the wagon and move forward. Appears that Richt means business. Crossed fingers.

I truly believe that we are going to have a very good offensive line before the 2012 season is over. Put the right man in the right position and it can only spell success. I very much like what I am seeing from Friend. Said it in another thread, he is recruiting his butt off. UGA has a very good chance of becoming a good football team on BOTH sides of the ball. We have wasted talent before, let us not do that anymore. Keep your eyes and ears open Mac.

Sounds like Crowell is saying the right things, Buc. As we know, talk's cheap. We know he can talk the talk--let's see if he can walk the walk.

The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!

I understand what you are saying for sure sadlerdawg. That last mile is for sure a "gut-check" you know more about that than I do.

IC will never play for another coach that will be as forgiving as Richt. Might be he understands that Richt said loud and clear, I want some running backs and did not give a second thought to IC. Hoping Richt is past the pitty pat coaching.

More than once on this board I have heard it said that we need that "man" taking most of the carries at running back. Feel that IC has had his chance, it is now or never for this young pup.

No way Marshall and the other back that will sign with UGA is going to do anything less than try to be number one. Love competition, has been lacking at UGA for far too long.

Also understand that there have been some scraps between the players this week. Love that also. Don't want a repeat of the UCF in Memphis stuff.

In my mind, can see Friend and Coach Grantham's troops having a "testy" battle in practice. sadlerdawg, sure hoping that Friend gets the O side clicking. Real hard to believe anything other than the D being a monster next season. Let next season start with Michigan State. . . . :)

Buc, Glad to see the intensity in practice.
Crowell is fortunate to have Richt.
Georgia is not a mid major program, don't need to cater to anyone.
Personally I don't see the toughness in IC.

averagedawg, could be that IC has suddenly come to the realization that there is talent out there. A bit unusual that he now comes forth with the personal improvement plan. Could also be that IC has had conversation with others in the program that have worked their tail off and don't appreciate some of his antics. I still have a huge problem with him ignoring Richt on the sideline. Some things are not easily forgotten.

Would I like to see him rush for 200 yards against MSU, yep. Will I be upset if he has another "mysterious" injury, yep. Have to agree with you about his toughness and heart averagedawg, have yet to see either. Come Spring practice, he will no longer be BMOC. That is not a shot at IC, that is what this young puppy needs. At some point all of us have to look inward, whether that be for direction or whatever. What is that saying . . . "Different Strokes for Different Folks". Time for IC to start "stroking" it, appears to me that he is a better football player than a book worm student.

Looks to me from viewing some of the practice tapes, Richard Samuel will be the starter. Know that it has been mentioned, saw a clip today and RS had that pigskin wrapped up and running. Love RS, he has been played with by this coaching staff since his arrival. Not once was there a whimper coming from him. Richard Samuel is a champion in my book. IC could learn a lot just walking behind RS. FACT.

I too was glad to read the quotes from Crowell. It sounds as if the light has come on inside his head. Now he just needs to show it in his actions on and off the field. I was watching some highlights from the season, and the kid seems to have a couple extra gears when he has just a slight opening. He made a lot of guys miss just by running by them, and he can cut on a dime.
I don't mind a few scraps during practice, as long as they immediately settle down and nip any discord in the bud. The team had chemistry this year that I had not seen from them in several years.
