Glad Spurrier is staying, we owe him quite a few.
On other news, heard the Malzahn is leaving aub for arkansas state. Now, both coordinators are gone. We need to make a hard push on all recruits we like committed to aub.

REALLY surprised he didn't wait for a better HC job. Certainly believe he would eventually have gotten a good offer from a major university.

On occasion I run across posts that tweak my interest.
I have noticed on this board where some seem to think that Coach Grantham needs more "seasoning" or however one wants to describe him before he becomes a Head Coach. All of us have a right to our thoughts and that is what makes posting what it is.
Trying to figure out why Gus Malzahn with success in "High School Coaching" . . . . limited "College Coaching" . . . never a Head Football Coach in College, and now being offered and accepting a job at Arkansas State as Head Coach would be considered a "Coach in waiting" for a much larger, say D1 school.
Would anyone on this board hire Malzahn as head coach if they had the opportunity to hire Coach Grantham? That thought interests me.
Just going back and looking over posts, makes me wonder.

Buc, I will be honest. It didn't make sense to me, but for different reasoning. I am not able to figure out why Malzahn is leaving aub. Just doesn't make any sense. He was making 1.3 million a year as the offensive coordinator at aub. No way Ark St. is going to be paying him that much. Or at least I havent read anything that would suggest anything more than that.
No doubt in my mind CTG could leave UGA for a mid major today, but I just don't understand why a coach would want to do that. To me being a DC at UGA carries a lot more weight than being a HC at a school that no one pays attention too.
Only thing I could think of is, something must being going on over in the plains. Roof leaves, now Malzahn leaves. Are we sure the NCAA investigation is over?

AllDawgs5, you make a very good point about the NCAA. Also know another thing, spent many years of my younger life in Columbus, Georgia and the folks down that way are split somewhat between Abuurn and UGA. Chizik will not be all that if he does not win. One year infusion of an athlete that made "him" look good. Prior to Abuurn, Chizik was not all that, in my opinion. Appears that the "bailing out" of the coaching staff points to bad days ahead.
