Talk about the wheels coming off. Read this earlier this morning and did not post. After some interest in this thread started to look around and try to find this . . . . again. :)

HolyTurf.com Tweets of the Day belong to Auburn commit JaQuay Williams. Williams is a 6’3” and 204lbs wide receiver from Tyrone, GA. He committed to Auburn in June.

@JaQuayWilliams

“He (Malzahn) sat there and looked in me and my moms eyes with a smile in front of his wife #AndLied“

“Haha my phone is going to blow up in the morning from the whole SEC behind this bs!”

Buc, I was supprised that Malzahn left for Ark State also. Why leave a great program and take a pay cut to boot. Something does seem fishy about this move. As for CTG, I don't tink in my opinion that he is ready to be a HC. Heck, he is getting attention for bring his defense to UGA and in his 2nd year, made them the 3rd best D in the nation. He makes a good salary and will probably get a raise on what he has done this year. Why would he want to go to a pressure cooker of being a head coach. Now maybe 2 years from now and if things are still going strong and we continue to improve, then yes, I think he will be offered a good HC job somewhere.

While we are on the issue of coaches, what do ya'll think of BOBO, will he continue to be the OC or will he get demotted after the season.

Appears that this young man is full of himself. SEC blowing up his phone. I hope that we avoid him, find another place to be a BMOC. One man's opinion.

duck, if you read the post again, maybe I did not make myself clear. I was drawing a comparison between what some on this board have said relating to Coach Grantham not being ready to be a head coach.

If that is the case, how is Malzahn ready for a head coaching job, or waiting for a better offer? Check the experience between the two. Funny how Coach Grantham had to BUILD HIS DEFENSIVE TEAM and Malzahn had a "one year wonder" on his offensive side. Why would Malzahn leave now . . . . I have an answer . . . . Alabama, LSU, Arkansas, Mississippi State and others on the West side of the conference are going to kick their butts. Not to mention those of us on the East side. He could go zero for everything next season. Better he leaves and lets that hammer fall on someone else. That is called covering you butt.

What Coach Grantham has done is this . . . . put together a defense that can only get better and we are talking three years in. Some point to our schedule. OK, what about the first half of the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta against the number one team in the country. The same team that is being picked to beat Alabama again, Saban twice, unheard of. That is what Coach Grantham did. Need some of these folks that post with great "authority" to explan the above. Talk is real cheap.

As for Bobo. He will be in Athens.

I take Grantham over Malzahn any day.
Everybody who is anybody understands the SEC is a Defensive conference.
Look at the Ark/LSU or the Ark/Bama games this year.

His worthiness aside... that's another thing entirely..

I'm not surprised by Malzahns decision to take the job. Some HC experience is never bad for the resume. I think the school is primed within their conference to be a pretty good team (10-2 this past season), so he might find it easier to build a decent record record there than at
the alternatives. Face it.. I've heard it's been teams
of Vandy type caliber that have also expressed interest.
He might be better suited to set himself up for the NEXT job.. (which is what I think he is doing) at Arkansas St.

Plus you have to strike while the iron is hot. A couple of years of mediocrity with the Abuurn O, and that might tarnish his star to the point of no mo HC offers at all.
He has been mentioned by some bigger schools that have been looking, but I'm not sure anyone else has
offered.

CTG is ready if he wants it right now, he's just not been all the rage for as long as the Abuurn guy. Malzahn, worthy or not.. he has been a big buzz name for a bit longer. As much as we might want to think all he's had is one season with Cam as his calling card, that's just not accurate. His O was all the rage at Tulsa for a couple of years.. as in tops in the nation. He also made significant improvements at Aubuurn before Cam got there.

Personally... I would take Grantham over Malzahn, but that's just me...and Buc....and most everyone else here, lol
