stanger there is a lot of noise out there about IC and books. Have to agree with something that OoltewahDawg said. If IC is going to continue to play football, probably needs to move down a level or two, that way he can be the hero again. Much like his high school days. Nasty boys in the SEC are playing too rough, don't they understand that I am "IC". Kid is definitely a head case.

Picked the following link up from the AJC, impressed me. What really impressed me was the way the coaches led this young pup through an entire practice, and then to read his thoughts on some of the players. Especially liked what he had to say about #9.

Totally agree about the Crowell spectacle. I'll admit, I was sucked into the drama of the thing, puppy and all. To say I am disappointed with Crowell's behavior is quite an understatement.
Marshall handled the same situation with quiet dignity. Totally impressed.

stanger....believe KM is coming in Jan., isn't he? If so, he will be MUCH farther ahead on the learning curve than IC, since he didn't arrive until the fall. If KM does in fact arrive in Jan., I think he has a very good chance to start in the first game.

Buc, unbelivable effort by the UGA staff. Go get this kid. Watched his highlight film. In no way am I being critical of any other RB we are recruiting, but IMO, he looks like the best natural RB I have seen in this class. Almost reminds me of a certain RB we had a few years go that is currently playing for the Broncos. 5'9 200lbs is a great size for a back. He will probably put on 10lbs with the help of JT. His brother was a very solid player for clemson. I was critical of some comments I read from Davis a few weeks ago. Like I said, believe he was just talking. Competition shouldn't scare this young man with the talent he has.

I liked what he said about Ogletree. I still can't get over how good #9 is. Just to think he was only a true soph. and playing MLB for the first time last season. I have a feeling he might leave UGA as one of the best, if not best to play the position for the Dawgs. And that is saying a lot considering we have had some special MLB's. Still, wonder what would have happened in the first 2 games with a healthy Tree. I would say besides AM, he was the one player we couldn't afford to lose at that time.

Brother, had the same feelings you mentioned about some of Mike's comments. Made mention on this board just as you did above. Have come to the realization that my age is not compatible with what these young players say and do these days. Not the first culture change in a zillion years.

AD5 a couple of things that make me think that we have more than a 50/50 chance for Mike Davis. Does not like being lied to, that is a good thing. Point for UGA. Georgia is the last visit on his planned recruiting visits. If he does not cancel prior to going to Athens on his last visit . . . Second point for UGA.

There is a certain back in North Carolina that we (UGA) would love to have. If I am a betting man, would be surprised if he does not play for either Clemson or South Carolina. Again, would love to have him, somehow I don't think it is in the cards. Todd Gurley, Keith Marshall and Mike Davis, sorry, there is one football. Might see some action on this issue prior to February signing date.

Back when, several months ago I was beating the drum for Matt Jones, we were close but he chose the gators. Kid is all that, and I was having nightmares thinking about Matt and Mike playing for the gators. Funny how things do or don't work out sometime.

Going to throw this out for what ever it is worth . . . you listening stanger . . . If Mike Davis hangs his hat in Athens . . . we need to call him "Doc". Reason being, first initials. MD. Oh well . . . . what you gonna do with old farts like me . . .
