Keep him at FB. It's been an important role in our offense, and one I'm not sure we were able to utilize
to the fullest this past season.

Appreciate Figgins putting his UGA life together and becoming a part of the team. Rocky start, but managed to see the "light".

Agree that a lot was not accomplished from the fullback position this year, am glad he got a touchdown. Did see a few blocks but don't think that the shift from tightend to fullback was everything it was "hoped" to be. In my mind, appreciate the fact that BF played a team role.

Appears that there is some serious help coming to the UGA backfield, not just Keith Marshall, thinking the young man from South Florida I have mentioned comes to play.

I'm feeling pretty darn good about the FB position for the next few years btw. Zander Ogletree & Q. Hicks! I swear, the best play on any down & goal to go from inside the 10 yard line is the pass to the FB in the flats (we used it once this year that I can recall, versus Auburn, result Touchdown to Figgins).

That said, anybody got any theories on why our FB was so seldom used?

agree with what wlayton said about Figgins and Tree 2.0 Wonder if any of it can be put on AM's shoulders...i.e., the fullback was the checkdown option but he chose to go downfield instead?

Nice get for the Dawgs. Now let's hope Marshall coming early will help push Crowell and any other backs yet to commit so we can get back to the title of "Tailback U".

The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!

Amen Buc-Figgins is a DGD though he didn't get to tote the rock as much as I had hoped for.

BTW, Are you talking about the young man-child from S. Florida that is an early verbal for the class of 2013 (or somebody else)? If it's him, WOW when he joins the backfield with Marshall & Crowell (I REALLY hope IC grows up & commits to the team before it's too late), we'll be deep & nasty at RB for sure. I feel certain there are brighter days ahead in Athens!

Yes, he did decommit from uf, but I read one of his interviews. Hope, I am wrong, but sounds like the kid wants to be guaranteed playing time. Signing of the No.1 back, 2 consecutive years might limit our chances on Davis.

Here is reason for my statement, Davis said Miami would be in the mix, if the current running back leaves for the NFL. Also said his biggest point is playing time. Please don't guarantee another kid playing time.

Can't blame Davis, but I want kids that want to compete. Also, good chance he was just talking and didn't mean that. Would like to have him, but under the conditions that he earns his keep.

GO DAWGS
