Sorry to all the dream teamers out there, but my dreams begin and end with the
line of scrimmage, and I've known for about 30 years that's what you have to have
to win consistently in the SEC.

It's nice to know we're only a couple of more years away , but if you look
back on it that means it will have only taken 5-6 years.

When I said 2 years away I was referring to the fact that we need to get 2-3 RB's and several OL and need a little time to develope them. Right now the RB barn is empty and the OL barn needs more hay.

Averagedawg, I agree with what you are saying, however, I think our offense ended up being pretty dang good this year. Besides the first game of the year, I really have no complaints. If people think we are going to go out and hang 50 on every opponent we face in the SEC, I think they are a fan of the wrong conference. Just not going to happen in this league. UF had some strong offenses, but those are rare. Look at the points are offense put up against similar foes. Very similar to what lsu and bama both did.

Sure, would I have like to seen some better play calling at times, of course. Would I have liked to seen some better execution at times, absolutely. I think every fan of every program in the country can say that. Overall, I thought we had enough offense to win games. Keep improving on the little things. Hence, unforced turnovers.

To me, we have to create more depth, get a solid stable of RB's, and really focus on becoming a very good special teams, team. Sounds like that is what we are working on doing. Don't give up on KM, don't move Samuel, get the 2 kids from NC, and get rid of IC. Get 3 or 4 solid RB's.

Special teams should be the focus of the entire off-season.

I get what you're saying AD5.
Don't get me wrong. I expected to win about 9 games this year, so we exceeded my expectations.
Probably attribute a few of those wins to the Defense.
We had a great game plan coming out against LSU. Kids just didn't make the plays. Happens.
Special teams are a disaster.
I guess my major beef is Offensive recruiting, as you say, No depth.
I think CTG saw what he needed and went out and got it. He coached through the injuries, and there were many.
I think CMR will follow his example and reload.
My frustration is I keep saying and keep hearing the same things every year.
But, hey, at least we're not Tennessee.
