Honestly Buc.. I arrived at a conclusion as soon as we went in this season once again with
no depth and little experience. Despite what they might say, I think our O coaches think
the type of O-line that you and I want is not necessary for their O scheme.

Not saying they don't think they need an O-line... I just wonder if they think they need
the type of O-line you and I think they need.

If that sounds ludicrous.. y'all will have to forgive me as I grasp at straws trying to
figure out our O-line issues. (The same O-line problems that even staunch CMR supporters
have said will still be a problem again next year).

AD5, Our offense had our defense in perfect position the first half.
Agree, much easier to play defense than offense, more instinctual I guess.
Heard David Pollack before the game give the edge to LSU, because of ST.
What's depressing is we were always king of special teams, our forte.
I think we all knew at halftime where we were headed. I was encouraged by the fact we didn't give up, sans Crowell, a cancer that must be cut out.

I expect our offensive line to be better next year. Gates and Lee are both back and are solid ball players. Believe we are going after 2 JC's kids right now. Need to get them. I heard a lot of praise about Andrews. Believe he will be a good one, but no one was going to de-throne Ben. Got the No.1 OT in the nation. CWF is a good one. They will be better. They were good enough after the first game this year IMHO.

I ripped the O-line heavily at the beginning of the year, but looking back, they did a pretty good job. I ripped them heavily after the first game. For this last game, no offensive line dominates lsu's defensive front. Again, hate giving them credit, but those guys are probably the best defensive line I have seen in college football in quite some time. They are going to make plays against you. I saw some holes that were there. To me the problem at times. RB's have to hit a burst through that hole and be able to break an arm tackle in the LOS, which goes back to them. UGA needs a stable of solid, hard RB's. We thought and hoped IC was the answer, he's not.

LOL, which is exactly why I don't give Richt/Bobo anymore passes. If you are gonna play a power (pro-style)offense then you need to have lots of capable o-linemen and big strong running backs. Even Crowell healthy is not big enough to pound like Ware, Richardson, Hilliard.

Guys I know a lot of you think I am all negative. Not True. But the same issues that cost us games and caused us problems this year have been the same for several years. That is on Richt..... no one else. I am very happy that we won 10 games this year but in the back of all our minds we know that does not make this team as good at sounds. We have great moments in every facet of the game at times this year but rarely in Richts era have we put it all together for four quarters and even less for several games in a row.

Special teams , play calling, 175 lb RB's, etc are all the responsibilty and results of the head coach's decisions. At least in my mind.

Some are wise and some are otherwise !

I didn't know for sure where we were headed.

I was kind of praying we would come out in the 2nd half and go back to doing what we had success at
early in the game: keeping them off balance with imaginative play calling.

Unfortunately, we came out with this instead:

1st-10, UGA17 15:00 TINY C. Thomas rushed to the right for no gain
2nd-10, UGA17 14:55 TINY C. Thomas rushed up the middle for 1 yard gain

3rd-9, UGA18 14:25 A. Murray rushed up the middle for 9 yard gain. A. Murray fumbled T. Mathieu recovered fumble

Now as soon as THAT happened, I looked at the wife and told her it was over. I felt we absolutely had to do something on that drive. Maybe not score, but at least hold onto the ball past the 14 minute mark and maybe punt LSU deep in their own territory and make them go a long way on their first
drive. I'm not going to start anything up again by ripping play calling, but suffice it to say that
little CT up the gut twice in a row wasn't what I had in mind.
