I still think Richt is soft and he has to be responsible for the continuously poor kick coverage. I would still rather have a different coach.

Just got back from the game. Left when the score was 28-10. Easily the most embarassing loss of the CMR era. LSU clearly #1 team in the country. Really think we were toyed with in the first half. We didn't "hold" LSU to anything, they just neglected to start playing.

I am not seeing it.

LSU is and was vulnerable through the air tonight just like they were against WVU. The WRs just dropped the ball literally. Playing that team in a close game is different from playing them when they have a big lead. They do know their system well and love to play aggressive. The offense is still only average. The defense is good but aggressive and can be duped.

UGA had a chance to shock the world but blew it.

EDIT:

Also LSU displayed a killer instinct to bury an opponent all too often missing from the Richt team. When UGA wins big it feels almost like he needs to apologize. LSU offers no apologies.

I don't believe they were toying with us. this LSU team is vulnerable and can be beat as was evident in the first half. But, you can't play a half of solid football and certainly can't leave 14 points (or more if we had picked off a couple passes that went right through our DB's hands--Commings would have scored on his miss..) on the field AND just give them points and field position via special teams and turnovers. LSU is like a wildfire in that they only need a small park of sometype to get going.

I think the players were somewhat to blame in the first half with all the miscue's on the field, and the coaching staff is certainly to blame for the second half. Terrible, conservative play calling. Lining up in a run formation with 9 LSU defenders in the box and NOT audibling out to something else. But let's not forget that we were playing against LSU with the #2 defense and they were'nt going to just sit idle and let us have our way for 4 qtrs..

The O side of the ball decided midway thru the second qtr to sit on the 10-7 lead and let the D win the game.....now who decided that......we come out gunning the first 15-20 minutes of the game.....no we did not score but we were moving the ball at least.....then nothing....had a D the caliber of LSU on its heels and we let them get away.....pathetic coaching.....

We have, for the most part, had the same identity on offense all season. Red Zone struggles continued in this game. D played lights out, but got wore down in the second half. Still standing strong on not blaming CMR. Still think we need on OC with a killer instinct and a clue. The only thing consistent with our offense is the faltering when we least need it. Agree with ogredawg that AM has put this offense on his shoulders most of the season. Granted it's young, but execution is lacking.

Next year looks promising with the talent we have. CMR has to make changes to the offensive coaching staff if we want to play for SEC and a MNC in the near future.

Let's go whip some big"whatever" team in a bowl!

Proud of the accomplishments this year and damn proud of these kids fighting like heck and not giving up when it would have been easier to do so.
