How can playing Florida in Florida be a neutral site?
Talk all you want about tradition, the addition of two more SEC teams is gonna end some traditions.
While we're at it make Russ UGAIX. He has earned his keep.

Have never thought that Jax was very neutral, but had been told the game was played there because the largest UGA Bulldog Club is in Jax. Also gives Bulldogs in the lower half of the state a closer game. Don't know if that is accurate or not, just what I had been told.

I like going to Jax. We have several friends we don't get to see that often and this gives us an excuse. However, I wouldn't have a problem going with a Jax/Atl alternating series. I think there is a lot of $$$ spent in jax. Why not keep some of that $$$ in Ga?

Good points TN Dawg. Also, meant to comment on your new avatar yesterday. Knew it looked different was not quite sure though. I like it. How could I not . . . . :)

Also, a lot of big money alum like going to Jax because
it gives them an opportunity to go to their places in Jekyl
and St. Simons and have a big 4 day getaway party.

When that game is in Athens or Atlanta, you just go
home after it's over.

Granted the location is closer to the home of UF, but fans come from all over for this game. Atlanta is a pretty
long haul for the Dawgs in south Ga.

Plus a question: How is the game itself not neutral if
both sides get exactly half the tickets, and each sells
their total allotment to their own fan base?

I know the UGA team might have to travel more miles, but it's not like some great distance that would make it
a true disadvantage for them.

I am assuming that you feel that tradition is the factor or one of the factors in the game. Suppose we should have left the game between Abuurn and Georgia in Columbus, Georgia. Some of the same reasons could have been mentioned. While I know that most of the games in JAX have had good weather, there is always the possibility of that not being the case.

Will be interesting to see how the folks on this board feel about where the game should be played. Could be interesting Wartdawg.

There is also a dollar factor to be considered, and Richt did put a smile on his face when the subject came up about playing in ATL.

There could be many reasons to keep the game in JAX, then again the same could be said for ATL.

I try to always remember this . . . those that have those big bucks can do 4 day weekends at their discretion.

Edit: You did mention tradition in your first post. Went back and looked after posting.

Money will keep this game in jax. I would like for us to play close to home, but there really isn't any room to tailgate in atl. Certainly not like rv city. That alone brings a serious amount of revenue into jax. 150 a day to park and you gotta stay at least a week. Advantages and disadvantages of playing down there, but the only one that matters is mula...
