So glad he didn't come to Athens.
Russ is a survivor, a country boy, a junkyard dawg.
averagedawg, many times this season when we get a shot of Russ I think about you and LimeyDawg and your avatars. Get to be my age, start to collect and keep special memories about those that you have feelings for and respect. You, ogredawg, sadlerdawg, kentdaddy and others on this board have a special place in my heart. Not as loud as I am . . . but you folks put up with me and it is appreciated. Maybe more than you will know.
Tomorrow will be a game that I will watch differently than I have and do most UGA games. Said a couple of times this will be looked at as a bystander. (sort of) Over the past three or four years I have had opinions about outcomes. Give me this . . . . I really want to see positional play. I know that I said that last week in one of my posts about Tech.
Those of you that played the game, those that did not play the game, those that understand the game, if this game is watched and understood as to what actually happens gives us an understanding of what "might" need to be done to improve our team such as . . . . throw things, heck yes, throwing things can be a good thing, does not have to be because something went against us. The one thing that will be in my mind tomorrow when the game starts and if I was the head coach of this football team would go something like this. Simple. They are where they are and we are where we are. Time to find out where the "DIFFERENCE" is.
Like this UGA football team, like this group of coaches. Not going to play any games in that last statement. Play football, and this is going to be the test of where we (UGA) are in the world of college football.
I do appreciate the patience that all on this board show and extend to me. I somehow cannot put my hands on a keyboard and move away. I care about all of you that post here, even though sometimes I get off of the tracks. Just remember this . . . . the tracks belong to UGA and the Gainesville Midland that once upon a time had my Grandfather as the Engineer running the coal fired steam engine that crossed those tracks.
Tomorrow will be a great day to watch Red, Black and Silver Britches doing what they have learned.
Go Dawgs!!
