WM was released in 2009. McGarity hired in 2010.

Point proven, go behind the woodshed on that one.

I would venture to say that I have said as many or more complimentary things about Richt as you have. Seems to me that you jumped on the band wagon later on this year. Your earlier comments did not reflect a lot of need for Richt. Same can be said about last season. Many of us were of the same opinion.

Appears that our difference of opinion happened a few games back in the winning streak.

If we are discussing relevance. Asking me why I don't mention Richt more, has what to do with relevance. I express the way I think, not what someone wants me to think.

I mention Grantham/McGarity more, to answer your question . . . because I think that the two of them are much more responsbile for where this 2011 edition of the UGA football team is at this point. I have not knocked Richt, so not sure where you are coming from. If you are reading all of the threads and posts you would understand that.

If you want to start splitting hairs, let's go. You have the information on the firing of WM?

Do not appreciate your lack of reason about Richt and where you and I stand. Said to southernlover in another thread that I like the idea of Richt/Grantham coaching together. Appears to me that Grantham has his side of the line of scrimmage in order, or very close. I still see people on this board and others, also media questioning Richt keeping Bobo. Not real sure, will look, think you have done that recently also.

Just a thought or two.

Buc, calm down, you are blowing my simple question way out of proportion. I know you have said somplimentary things about CMR, everybody has on some subjects.

I blasted CMR and the whole staff 30 minutes after the BOISE ST game. Once I calmed down (few days) I came to reson that Bobo had to go but I wasn't going to make my final opinion until the season played out about CMR.....I didn't "jump on the bandwagon" later this year......I was one of the original islanders if you'll read back, so much so yd1 appointed me mayor.

I'll take the blame for the question.....maybe it would have been better if I had simply asked you to put %'s on CTG, McG and CMR of how much YOU felt they contributed to the season.....then maybe that is clear and concise and not misunderstood.......guess my bad.

In my book if the ship sinks the Captain takes the heat. If he is in charge and saves the ship he gets an attaboy. Its that simple! Not in todays world it isn't, who appointed who, who chastised who, who is in charge? Nobody knows who did what until the finger pointing starts, chaos. Sounds like something they might be doing in Tennessee, sure glad its not the Dawgs. GOOOOOOOO DAWGS!!!!

The sun shines on a different Dawg every day

One thing that continually amuses me is this . . .

You will ALWAYS hear about how weak our schedule was this year, and you'll hear about how we haven't beaten ranked teams or teams with winning records, so on and so on. One thing that always runs through my mind when I hear that stuff . . . how responsible were WE for those teams having losing records . . . how responsible were WE for teams no longer being ranked?

Case in point - LSU gets credit for beating Mississippi State as a "ranked team", "at the time". They only beat them 19-6 . . . hardly a blow out. By the time WE played them, of course, they were no longer ranked. When we played Auburn, they were ranked and we were favored by "only" 13 points. We slaughtered them worse than either 'Bama OR LSU. Far more than 13 points. How responsible were WE for them NOT being ranked? When we played GT, they were ranked, and they still had a winning record and they will still go to a bowl game. How responsible were WE for their not being ranked anymore?

UGA had an excellent year by any standard. 10-2 is excellent. I think we match up with LUSers much better than Mississippi State did, and I think we will play them closer. Do that and make a few FGs that 'Bamas kicker missed, and the outcome could be happy. I think Arkansas is a tad overrated, went into the game intimidated and at the first sign of trouble, the snowball ballooned on them. They also have no D. I think we can do better.

I hope so anyway.

Anyone coming off of any SEC schedule at 10-2 has done a good job.

"and at the first sign of trouble, the snowball ballooned on them."

Two words for ya.. Bobby Petrino, the best coach in the world when everything goes
exactly to his plan. When it doesn't.... not so much.
